A photo every day for a year! 13th - 18th April! Week 16 of #Project365

It was the 2nd week of the Easter holidays here and I have really made the most of having Ellie off college and Becky having some time off work. What a week we've had, it has felt non-stop with not much time to relax but it has been fun all the same!! I feel like I haven't taken many photos at all, I've been living in the moment and only after I've done or seen something I've thought I should have taken a photo of that.

This week I am a photo short as I wanted to get this post scheduled early before I went away for the night with Becky yesterday. I will add it next week. By the time this post goes live Becky and I will be eating breakfast in a hotel after seeing a show last night.

Now for a photo every day!

My fellas desk and Easter eggs
Hair dye and jacket potato and salad
Waiting room and fudge

103/365 - 13th April.
Stu cleared off his desk and I don't actually know what he was doing. I wasn't going to ask, I didn't want to be roped into helping. hehehe He always says that he likes to have a relaxing Sunday, that wasn't relaxing. Eesh! lol In the end he was just tidying his desk and shelves.

104/365 - 14th April.
I finally got the Easter eggs! I didn't go too crazy this year and we only got one medium sized one each and I bought a few as gifts for people. It still came to a ridiculous amount of pounds but I guess it's just a once a year expense and chocolate does taste better in egg form.

105/365 - 15th April.
Hair dye day for Ellie and I, we do it every 6 or so weeks and it was time. Ellie just went dark, dark red and I went bright red.

106/365 - 16th April.
Lunch out and a jacket potato with salad. It confused me so much to why they sent out a little tub of butter when the toppings had already been put on. Do people put butter on top of the toppings?

107/365 - 17th April.
Waiting to be seen for an appointment. It was nothing to worry about, just a bit of life admin. I sat waiting longer than I was actually at the desk. I am one of those people who is early for everything! It turns out it could have been done over the phone so felt like a big waste of my time.

108/365 - 18th April.
Ellie was out for the day and came home with gifts! She had bought me some fudge which was so good. She had a lovely day out while I spent the day at my dad's which was lovely too.

  1. We didn't go mad on Easter eggs this year either, the kids always get too much chocolate anyway. Butter on top of toppings is odd, it should go on first

  3. I often need to add butter onto the bottom part of the potato - you know the part where the toppings don't get to. Maybe thats why they sent more butter :)

  5. Ditto re: Easter eggs, one each for my boys, a bunny for husband, and some chocolate eggs for Sasha's PAs.
The butter in a separate container does look strange, it should have been added to a hot potato inside, and then the toppings.
What a disappointment with the appointment which could have been done on the phone.
I love fudge too. Hope your show was great.

  6. That butter has confused me too! You would had to remove the toppings to put it inside the spud. How strange.
I try and get every appointment I can over the phone nowadays, it's so much less fuss than having to attend in person.
How lovely of Ellie to buy you gifts, I hope you enjoyed your fudge.

  8. I love this recap each week (and your word of the week one, too... I especially could relate to your "oops" post this week!). Your question about the baked potato made me think... I don't think I've ever ordered a potato that hasn't come plain. I couldn't imagine adding butter to one that already had toppings on it. It sure looks yummy!

  9. Oh I hope you and your daughter had an amazing time together! I feel like I've been slipping lately in the photo department too. It's weird that most of our Easter chocolate are in bunny shape; I don't know that I've found much of anything other than Cadbury eggs and mini eggs in egg shape.

  10. N didn't have easter eggs, everyone bought him chocolate instead. That is weird about the butter. We have a jacket potato street food stall in town, and he always puts the butter in first if you want it. Hope you and Becky had a good night away

  11. So lovely to have that time with Becky and Ellie and I hope you had a lovely time seeing the show and enjoyed your hotel stay. It makes me laugh when the toppings are already on the jacket potato and the butter is on the side – surely you put the butter on first?! How lovely of Ellie to buy you some fudge. #project365

  12. I had a jacket spud with beans on Tuesday and put my butter on the top to melt through. Am guessing some people don't want the extra fat though.. Love the violet fudge, I'd have eaten that at super speed. I agree that chocolate taste better in egg form. I bought eggs for the adult kids and grandchildren, including sending an egg to Australia.
