It is officially summer and it sure has felt like it this week, it has been scorchio! I've been hiding inside where it is nice and cool and only venturing outside when I really have to like putting rubbish out and hanging washing on the line. I went to hang some out yesterday morning and was so confused, it was raining. Just that fine, misty rain but it was rain all the same. I gave it 10 minutes, went back out and it was dry again! Becky said I was imagining it! lol It's supposed to be much cooler next week and I couldn't be happier!
Have you all had a good week? I have, it doesn't feel I have done much but that's OK. I lose all motivation when it is too hot! There is a fine balance the sun shining gives me motivation but when it's too hot I'm done! I have plans for next week, nothing exciting, just things around the house. I think the time has came to move the furniture around in the living room and I will give it a deep clean.
Now for a photo every day!

Stu's Father's Day cards off the girls, they are jokers but the cards are so true! We lovingly call one of them a pain in the arse and the other is claiming that she is poor despite being frivolous with her money. I'll let you make your assumptions about which is which. hehehe
167/365 - 16th June
Who even am I ordering a jacket potato for lunch. Usually I would never order a jacket spud as they are something I can easily make at home but this time it came with prawns and Marie Rose sauce and felt like the perfect meal for a hot day! It was so good!
168/365 - 17th June
Even the weeds are pretty at this time of year! This one is creeping woodsorrel!
169/365 - 18th June
Just Stu's shelf above his computer desk. He is getting quite a collection of things like Funko Pops, figures and things like that. The lights look pretty but I hate walking in there on an evening as they seem to glare in my eyes, he loves them though.
170/365 - 19th June
The Thai style pork patties that we had for tea. This recipe is a Gousto one and one that I make again and again even when we don't get the boxes delivered.
171/365 - 20th June
Becky got herself a bottle of Coca-Cola with her name on, almost! Her full name is Rebecca but only gets called that by professional people like doctors and the dentist or maybe when she is in trouble. hehehe
172/365 - 21st June
It is festival season and this weekend the Isle of Wight festival is being shown on TV. This years line up is not my favourite but there was the The Script and Paul Heaton last night and Justin Timberlake tonight.
We jumped to temps in the high 90's this weekend so I'm with you, Kim... it is way too hot for me! Thank goodness for central air conditioning! I spent all day yesterday helping my brother and his family get ready for a grad party they are hosting and today I'll provide behind the scenes assistance. I'm gearing up for another day of humidity! Here we go!
ReplyDeleteIt's really hot here with no signs of the heat letting up. But we have AC so it's not too bad. I'm glad that you had a good week and hope the upcoming one is a great one :).
ReplyDeleteOh matey, I hear you! All I seemed to have done all week was moan about how hot I was. Thank god it is raining today.
ReplyDeleteLove Stu's gaming shelf, that is so cool! His cards are great too, haha. I've got an idea who's is who lol.
Hope you all had a lovely weekend. xx
I stay inside all summer, as much as possible! Too hot and humid here in Florida! I saved the recipe for the pork patties. Yum!! I enjoyed your photos, Kim! Have a good week ahead!
ReplyDeleteIt's been so hot hasn't it. Thankfully today was cooler, and actually with the wind blowing through the house I've debated putting on a cardigan! N's debating investing in a small air conditioner for his bedroom because it gets so hot in there. He only has the one window, whereas the others have 2 front and back of the house so get throughflow.
ReplyDeleteThe sun has been lovely, but I've not enjoyed these overly warm nights! It does seem to have cooled down a little with the odd bit of rain though.
ReplyDeleteIt was scorchio indeed, I wasn't enjoying it, especially the nights were difficult. Much better today, but it looks like it's going to be hot again by the weekend.
ReplyDeleteLol @ the Father's day cards. Stu's shelf looks cool.
Patties and spud look tasty. We had a lot of picky bits in the last week, as I didn't fancy cooking in the hot weather.
It was a good week despite the heat. I do a similar thing here in Florida in the hot summer. I take out the garbage in the AM and stay inside with the a/c most of the day. It's too hot to go many places. Maybe to the grocery occasionally. I usually order delivery from the store. Nice photos this week. Love Stu's cards.
ReplyDeleteI don't enjoy the heat and try to stay indoors like you but I do like being able to hang the washing out and get it dry really quickly.
ReplyDeleteStu's gaming shelf is looking a good, I love a good collection of knick-knacks.
I lose motivation when it's hot too but I think it's a good excuse to slow down and be less busy this time of year.
I'm ok when the sun is out regardless of the temperature but I hate the warm muggy cloudy days, I'm like you don't want to venture out unless I need to.
ReplyDeleteSo fun that Becky found a bottle of Coke with her name on it! I found mine years ago and bought one because I was so excited that they actually had a version spelled with an "a" at the end. Most people spell it Lindsey, so it was always tough finding stuff spelled Lindsay when I was growing up!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to have sunshine but not so much when it’s too hot. Love the Father’s Day cards. Love a jacket potato with prawns and those pork patties look delicious. #project365
