We're almost halfway through the year, how? It doesn't seem that long since January and this month especially has flown over. Summer needs to slow down a little already and we have just started it. Ellie has finished college until September and Becky is going into her second week off work. We have lots going on over the next month, Stu has some time off work and the weather forecast is looking good. There is all the summer feelings here!
I have had a great week and a fantastic weekend so far with Glastonbury and wrestling on the TV. Usually I have to watch live events from the WWE the next day because of the time difference between the UK and the US but this weekend it's in Saudi Arabia which means the shows have been starting at 6pm UK time. I had a big parcel delivered yesterday of things that I have ordered for Ellie's birthday in August, she picked most of the things, clothes mostly but there are a few surprises now hidden away. Today we have no plans at all, we are going to have a lazy day well almost, the kids have mountains of clean washing to put away. hehehe
Now for a photo every day!

We finally got the grass cut in the back garden. It was either too hot or too wet to cut it. The grass now still looks burned despite us cutting it when it was a lot cooler than it had been. My plants are doing well though!

Just me. Another one of those days where I didn't know what to wear. It was colder than it had been when I left the house, warmed up when I was out and then got chilly again. Of course by the time I got home it was roasting again!

I changed the furniture around in the living room and this is now my view. I am at the other side of the room and it has really confused my family, they keep forgetting my armchair is now where it is.
176/365 - 25th June
Becky brought me a sandwich in from the bakery when she came in. It always feels such a treat when I don't have to make my own lunch.

This is the best thing I have bought in months. It's a little USB rechargeable fan that has a stand so I can put it on the arm of my armchair. It cost £3.50 from a shop called One Beyond and it is fantastic and a lot cheaper to run than the big one we have that plugs in to the wall.

What a surprise yesterday to watch Lewis Capaldi return to performing live at Glastonbury! I almost cried! Last time sung at Glastonbury, 2 years ago he couldn't finish because of his Tourette's. I do love that guy!
179/365 - 28th June
I am not a big milk drinker usually but at the start of the week I was all about drinking strawberry milkshakes now it's all about the Galaxy Mocha Frappe. (I got it from Tesco). Yum!
Good day, Kim!! Your photo captures are fun to see today! Glad you are all enjoying your summer! We have rain predicted, starting today and through the week, but our temps will be lower and we do need the rain. Wishing you and yours a blessed week ahead!!
ReplyDeleteOur grass doesn't look too bad at the moment, but others around us - their fields are awful and dry. Hopefully we do get a bit of rain soon as the fields and gardens could do with it. I'm with you - always a treat not to have to make your own meals.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you've had a lovely week, I'm so glad you got to watch WWE live what a treat for you.
ReplyDeleteOur grass is struggling in this heat, even the plants are wilting a bit, hopefully we will get some more rain after these really hot days.
How lovely of Becky to bring you some lunch, that's a big advantage of having older kids.
I'm so glad you had a great week. My nephew is a big WWE fan and watches things he can. I hope you have another great week. #MMBC
ReplyDeleteOur grass isn't looking so great either but I am trying to grow some new areas of grass so I've been watering it. I like to move furniture around too and it always throws off my husband.
ReplyDeleteI can’t quite believe we’re halfway through the year already either! Sounds like you’ve got some nice thing to look forward to over the summer. Those little USB fans are great aren’t they – much needed in this weather! #project365
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a productive week for you, with the rearranging of furniture, lawn mowing, organiing birthday presents. It's hard to believe it's half a year already, soon it will be Halloween and Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely not to bother what to have for lunch, as someone bought one for you.
