I feel like I have had a really good week, there has been nothing to complain about and it was just one of those weeks where everything just came together and went to plan, it was quite pleasant. We haven't really done much over the weekend so far, it has been nice just to potter. Stu finished work yesterday and now has just over a week off, Ellie is off college for half term break and Becky finishes work tomorrow morning and has almost a week off. Our plans were to have a little break away but things happened a couple of weeks ago and I just didn't feel comfortable being away from home for an extended amount of time so it's just going to be days out and we have some fun one's planned.
Now for a photo every day!
292/365 - 19th October
We had our usual lunch out at the carvery. It was of course amazing! This weeks meat was turkey which seemed like a treat as we only seem to ever have it at Christmas and I am sure the Yorkshire Puddings are getting bigger!
293/365 - 20th October
Ellie’s officially in Halloween mode, it's one of her favourite days of the year! She treated herself to false lashes and nails from Claire’s. She usually avoids shopping there because it's usually quite expensive but they had a good discount on so she grabbed a bargain. She’s all ready to look spooky and fabulous!
294/365 - 21st October
I secured my Christmas food delivery slot! Hooray! All the supermarkets seem to have released their slots this week. That’s one Christmas job ticked off the list!
295/365 - 22nd October
I painted my nails. I went for a very dark red that just is just autumn. It’s one of those colours that seems to look good with everything that I wear at this time of year and I always feel a bit more put together when my nails are done even if I’m just pottering around the house.
296/365 - 23rd October
Tattoo day for Ellie and she was so excited, I was so nervous! She did great and didn't even flinch with the pain! She was so happy with end result, it was even better than she imagined. It's taking me some getting used to but she has been showing it off proudly ever since.
297/365 - 24th October
We had such a pretty sunset on Friday evening, all the pinks, oranges and purples.
298/365 - 25th October
Another sky photo but this one at lunchtime yesterday. The sun was shining and the sky was so blue. I was just ignoring the fact it was so cold and windy out there too. You can't have it all. lol

One year at work I did Project 365, taking photos of my Residents in Senior Housing and posting them on the Face Book Page for our campus of care. But prior to starting the project we let all the families know to "friend" us. Those living out of town could see what was happening and my Residents loved the focus on their activities and daily life. Your weekly sharing is so fun and brings back great memories.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your week went well and your weekend is good, low key one. How fun to have days ahead with more of your family being home (hopefully fun, lol!). Your sunset picture is so pretty and yes, it's amazing how beautiful blue skies can look but that doesn't mean that it feels good outside! Your nails are pretty and that lunch out looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat Yorkshire pudding... oh my! I'm guessing it was delicious! And that sunset was equally gorgeous! Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the family time over the next week.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you've had to change your plans for the week but days out sound like just as much fun.
ReplyDeleteThe sunsets and sunrises have been beautiful this week, I love this time of year.
Well done on getting your Christmas shopping slot, that must make it so much easier to get organised.
Your nails are the perfect autumn colour x
That yorkshire is huge! Had a panic then about Tesco Christmas slots, but theirs aren't until November. Phew. I bought a earrings and hair bobbles in Claire's closing down sales. I'd seen them say 70% off, but was only 30% when I was in there. Better than nothing, but totally agree they're not really pocket money shopping like they were when they first opened.
ReplyDeleteThat's a shame that whatever happened is taking away the chance for you all to have a break away. I hope things are sorted soon and you all feel more comfortable. That is a whopper of a Yorkshire pudding!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice week, matey. Hope Stu enjoys his time off and your girls, too.
ReplyDeleteI like the colour of your nails. That reminds me, I need to do mine. I've had a new colour for ages and haven't got round to using it yet.
LOVE Ellie's tattoo. That turned out fab. I wonder if she will be getting inked again? I find it very addictive, lol.
Beautiful sunset. We've had some pretty ones the past few days. Hope next week is just as lovely for you! xx
Gosh, that pudding is amazing!! I tried making it once and failed miserably. Would you explain the Christmas food slots? I don't know what that means. Do they cook it and delivery it for you? If so, I am a bit jealous!! But I would miss cooking for friends and family for our holidays. Cheers!!
ReplyDeleteIt's just for the groceries to be delivered, I still have to cook everything myself. Most of the big supermarkets open their December delivery slots now and you have to be quick to get one as they fill up quickly. I'd rather get my food shop delivered than go to an actual supermarket a couple of days before Christmas. :)
DeleteYour mani color is gorgeous and so is that sunset!
