It seems lots has gone on this past week. It started with the massive storm, there was thankfully not much damage here, decorating Becky's bedroom, the week ended with the kids breaking up from school for half term, me coming down with a cold, Valentine's day and another storm being forecast.
Now for a photo every day!
39/366 - 8th February
Ellie being the lightest of course had to test out that her sisters new bed was safe to lay on and climb about on.
40/366 - 9th February
Storm Ciara hit. It damaged a couple of fence panels and blew the wheelie bins around our garden but we got off lightly. There was tree's blown down around the corner and the Humber bridge was closed which cause massive disruption.
41/366 - 10th February
Stu decorated Becky's bedroom. He put some wallpaper up because the walls were uneven and the last lot of paint didn't take well and painted it bright green. It actually looks brighter in real life but Becky loves it.
42/366 - 11th February
We finally had some snow, just a little and it was far too wet to lay.
43/366 - 12th February
I love daffodils and I always buy some from the supermarket. They bloomed.
44/366 - 13th February
My youngest wrote her first Valentine's day card out for her boyfriend "D". (I've blanked his name out). She also bought a bar of Galaxy chocolate for him. Aww!
45/366 - 14th February
Ellie had a non-school uniform day at school and the only rule was they had to wear something red and pay a pound. She has the red well and truly covered.
The weather has certainly been pretty horrendous. I hope you don't get any damage from Storm Dennis. That is a brilliant shade of green. Ellie has definitely got the red covered! My son's school have a theme for their non-uniform days and if you choose to ignore the theme, you have to pay a bit extra. My son always ignores the theme!
ReplyDeleteI think we got off pretty lightly with the storm. A couple of power cuts which lasted about a minute each and some hailstones. The previous storm was worse.
DeleteN had non uniform day too - he wore red but didn't need to. Bet Becky's pleased she has a newly decorated room. We're up nearish your way at the end of this week - well, Scunthorpe for a random hotel review, and then Grimsby to see my best friend at her parents.
ReplyDeleteBecky is loving her room.
DeleteOhh! Have a good time in Scunthrope. We're about 20 minutes out of the town. x
Thanks - it was really fleeting. Stayed at Forest Pines Hilton before heading off to Grimsby
DeleteThat's a brave shade of green! That said though I have a kitchen that is painted green. Yes Ellie has red covered.
ReplyDeleteHmm! Very brave. It looks even brighter in real life. x
DeleteThe weather has been pretty abysmal in the last week, from one storm to another. That's a strong shade of green, hope she is not tired of it quickly. We didn't have any snow here. Eddie also had a non-uniform day at school, it was called Break the rule day, and they had to pay 50p for every rule broken, like wearing a non-school top etc.
ReplyDeleteI hope this is it for the storms. I am wanting some spring like weather.
DeleteI like the sound of the break a rule day x
I'm fed up with storms - hopefully that's the end of it now. Wow, that's a bright green ! Love the new bed … and the Valentine's Day gift and card - awww ! The daffodils are lovely - so vibrant :)
ReplyDeleteI do hope it's the end of the storms.
DeleteThank you x
My little two had non uniform day and wore red or pink but didn't need to. Glad the decorating has went well and she likes her room. Does seem to have gone better than mine xx
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a lot of kids went for red's with the non-uniform day.
DeleteThank you x
That green paint is very bright! Glad that the bed passed the test of Ellie climbing about on it and that you got off fairly lightly with Storm Ciara. Daffodils are such sunshiney flowers - I love them too. How lovely that Becky sent her first Valentines card. Always nice to have a non-uniform day. #project366
ReplyDeleteThank you. The bed certainly passed the test, she was jumping all over it. lol
DeleteOh wow to snow, but glad there wasn't much of it. The storms have played havoc haven't they. Love the daffs #66
ReplyDeleteThe snow didn't last long at all. I am so sick of the storms. I want the summer to arrive. x
Deletewe have been the same with the snow, nothing that was worth calling snow.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh young love, such a sweet time of life.
Typical sibling, always trying out the others new things.
love her red boots
The snow was a bit of a let down. We've had hailstones since and plenty of wind. Ugh.
DeleteThank you.
Ooo that is a pretty bright green! The storm was horrible...I remember waking up about 3am and it was loud!
ReplyDeleteLooks like she is having fun testing out the bed!!
I am so sick of these storms. We have another one coming. Ugh. x
DeleteI love the themed non uniform days, my boys used to love going into school in their civvies, love the bright green, not sure I'd want it in my room though lol. Hope the valentines card was received well, did she get any back?
ReplyDeleteI don't know how she sleeps in the room with the green paint. I walk in and it makes me feel dizzy. lol
DeleteYep, she got a card back but no chocolates. Eesh. lol
We had a storm here this week as well but you've had quite a strong storm. The paint colour looks good and the daffodils look great. Cute red theme; she must've loved not wearing a uniform.
ReplyDeleteAhhh first Valentine, how sweet! Glad the storm didn't do as much damage as feared, hope the one after that and the one this weekend are also ok! #project366
