A photo every day for a year! 1st - 7th June! Week 23 of #Project365

I have had a busy week but not at the same time. I feel like I've not stopped but at the same time feel like I have got nothing done. It's fine though, all is good. Things have been chaotic with my routine thrown all over the place because of the girls not being in their usual places but they are enjoying life and Ellie has been working hard at college with exams and finishing the last bits that she needs to before the end of term at the end of this month.

The weather has been a bit chaotic this week too. Rain, sun, rain, sun. I am looking out of the window now (yesterday) and it doesn't know what it wants to do. I feel annoyed that I have had to use my tumble dryer a few times this week just to get through the washing pile. It's such a first world problem but I expect to get washing out on the line to dry at this time of year. lol

We have no plans for today apart from cutting the grass if it's dry out. It will be a quiet day, watching TV, playing games on our computers and just relaxing.

Now for a photo every day!

Bellflowers
All day breakfast and Sun Spurge
Pokemon cards and moody sky
Me and prawn crackers

152/365 - 1st June
Pretty purple flowers have appeared in my garden. Apparently they are Campanula, commonly known as bellflowers. They're so pretty.

153/365 - 2nd June
Stu and I went out to eat and I had a lovely Full English breakfast! I was so happy when it arrived, it had fried bread on! Breakfasts never have fried bread on now, what a treat! It also came with toast and jam which felt like a dessert, I was very happy!

154/365 - 3rd June
I saw this plant and thought "Ohh! That's pretty! It might be but after reading about it, I am not so keen. Sun Spurge (Euphorbia helioscopia) is considered a weed and produces a toxic latex sap which can cause skin irritation or blindness if it gets in contact with eyes. Eek!

155/365 - 4th June
Ellie was given a couple of Pokemon cards and got it into her head that she wants to collect them. That is all on her, I will not be funding this new hobby. I have heard that some can sell for hundreds of pounds.

156/365 - 5th June
The weather couldn't make it's mind up on Thursday! Rain one minute and sun the next. It was such a moody looking sky!

157/365 - 6th June
Just me. Another mixed day with the weather. Left the house with a coat and was thinking about taking an umbrella. I am glad I left it at home as the sun came out and it was quite warm so off came my coat.

158/365 - 7th June
Stir fry for tea and I actually remembered to buy the Prawn Crackers, they're always something that I seem to forget.

  1. Your hair color is so pretty! It looks great with your blouse. Our weather has been all over the place as well. We've had a good mix of rain and sun. I'm starting to see some lil' veggies on my plants and I'm excited! Speaking of plants, yikes about that poison one! Have a great Sunday!

  2. I do love Campanula but they don't half spread if you don't keep an eye on them. The weather has been very changeable hasn't it - just had to dash and grab the washing off the line

  3. We have those flowers too, they have grown through from next door and are so lovely.
The breakfast looks incredible, I love fried bread but can never seem to get it right at home.
It sounds like you've had a pretty good week, hope you got lots of relaxing in today.

  4. I love Campanula and could do with getting some for my garden as ground cover. My son loves playing Pokemon but has no interest in the cards, thank goodness. I would love to colour my hair like yours but unfortunately it would be seriously frowned upon by the Head.

  5. Those bellflowers look lovely. It seems purple flowers are good for bees too. We had terrible weather yesterday, and have had rain most days this week. It's certainly been chillier too.

  6. Yum. I remember making fried bread when I went camping with the guides. It was delicious! Not had it for years. I hope the weather improves. I am coming to Hull soon!

  7. I did wonder when I saw the Pokemon cards. My older kids started collecting them in 1999 and the girls also got interested, Star more so. I wouldn't even attempt to count how many Pokemon cards we have in our house. I bet some of the original ones would be worth something. My older kids were very keen on playing and we used to travel all over England to enter tournaments. We even found one in Norfolk (but that was by accident because we were on holiday at the time) Star and Boo used to play but now it's all about the collecting...but honestly, how many can you have. Gotta Catch Em All.

  8. Your campanulas are abundant. I have quite a few growing in the garden, but they are more of a few solitary stems at a time rather than a whole bunch. And I like euphorbia, though it's true, the sap can irritate the skin.
Eddie used to collect Pokemon, but lost interest. Maybe he is sitting on a stash of money? :)
    Pink suits you.

  9. It sounds like you had more than your share of rain. I know that can be tiresome. The full English breakfast looks good. It's nice to eat out occasionally. #MMBC

  10. I have never heard of fried bread before but that sounds yummy! We have been having lots of rain too; or even just those days that look likes it might rain that makes planning anything outdoors so hard.

  11. Love fried bread but we rarely have it. Yep the weather was so unpredictable!

  12. Those weeks of being busy but not feeling like you get things done are frustrating. I get frustrated when I have to use the tumble dryer this time of year too – it’s much nicer to be able to get the washing out on the line. Love the bellflowers in your garden. Spurge looks pretty but is horrible. Sophie had quite a nasty reaction to it once so I pull it up if I see it appearing in the garden. #project365

  13. I keep pulling that sun spurge out, it's so invasive. Lovely photo of you, the paler pink hair looks lovely. It's a rumour that those Pokemon cards are of any value, only of value to a collector and people only collect them because they think they're valuable lol
