Week 45 seems awfully close to the end of the year! Christmas decorations are coming out, there's festive drinks in the coffee shops and there are mince pies being sold everywhere! I’ve had a bit of an up and down week but it finished on a much brighter note. Friday and Saturday were lovely. I spent Friday with the girls and of course went to see my dad. He was busy but took time out to have lunch with us which was nice and yesterday was a day of pottering about the house and doing a bit of blogging. We have absolutely no plans for today. I think I just want a cosy day at home.
Now before you judge me when you scroll down I promise I don’t eat this many sweet treats every week, I’m blaming Christmas! There are so many festive goodies out already and I can’t resist trying them all. Some of these things are only around for a short time and it would be a shame not to make the most of them. That’s my excuse anyway, and I’m sticking to it!
Now for a photo every day!
306/365 - 2nd November
I missed a photo but I’m sneaking in a dessert photo from my Sunday lunch. You might wonder how I’ve got a photo if I missed one, well I had the exact same dessert on Saturday evening when Stu and I went out for a meal so this will have to do! The chef tempted me with freshly made Bailey’s cream profiteroles which he was trying out for Christmas and I couldn't say no! When I saw them again on Sunday I just had to order them again as they were that good!
307/365 - 3rd November
I treated myself to a truffle yule log from Cooplands Bakery. Tis the season! hehehe
308/365 - 4th November
My garden is still surprising me! Do you remember those little black buds I shared a few weeks ago? It turns out they are Cosmos flowers! Jane and Joyce commented that they thought that’s what they were and you were absolutely right. I love that even in November, there’s still a bit of colour popping up outside.
309/365 - 5th November
I poked my head out of the back door and snapped a photo of one of the many fireworks going off. I thought they would have stopped by now but there was a ton going off Friday and last night too. Ugh!
310/365 - 6th November
Bucks Fizz Popcorn from Tesco! This was an experience. It’s got a fizzy orange tang which is weirdly addictive but I can’t decide if I loved it or just found it interesting. It’s the kind of thing you try once just to say you have, I won't be buying it again.
311/365 - 7th November
Ellie got the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula cream from the tattooist when she got her tattoo and I have been pinching a bit here and there and I forgot how good it is. I always get dry skin at this time of year so it has came in very handy.
312/365 - 8th November
Bacardi Breezer drinks! I feel like I have gone back to the 90's. These were all the thing, on a night out when I was about 20 years old. I bought myself a couple of bottles just for the memories and I forgot how much it tasted just like fizzy pop! Eek!

Lovely to see a flower in November!! Amidst all the festive Christmasy things (and delightful tasting treats), it's nice to see something from nature (I have nothing against seeing festive Christmasy things of course!). I need to find a good lotion stat. It's only early November and my hands are terribly dry... Have a great Sunday!
ReplyDeleteYears ago I made a Yule Log. It was a little labor-intensive but successful and tasted so good!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the weekend has been nicer for you after an up and down week.
ReplyDeleteYour photo's are making me hungry! I can't resist a festive treat and I've been thinking about having a mince pie all week.
Hopefully after this weekend the fireworks will be over.
Those alco-pops were so good in the 90s but very easy to have too many as they were just like drinking pop.
Bacardi Breezers! What a blast from the past. I used to love alcopops, remember Hooch as well?
ReplyDeleteYummy Christmas treats, they look so good.
The popcorn looks interesting. I tried some toffee apple popcorn the other day and it was amazing!
Another lovely week, matey. xx
Crikey bacardi breezers that takes me back to my uni days when alcopops were all the rage. I love a festive treat, it's always my failing when I'm on a diet. Nice to see the cosmos. I've got some marigolds out, despite them supposedly having been removed (they grow outside the wall next to it, because noone removed them from there!)
ReplyDeleteWell I'd definitely try the desserts - especially the profiteroles but I'm not a fan of popcorn or the alcopops. We still had fireworks going off here tonight! Hopefully they will be the last. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteBailey's profiteroles sound amazing!
ReplyDeleteThose desserts look SO GOOD! I always enjoy your photo posts, Kim. Have a good week ahead!
ReplyDeleteJust enjoy all those yummy treats! We just returned from a trip to the UK and brought mince pies back with us.
ReplyDeleteI never judge your treat photos and envy you. I'm a diabetic now and can't really enjoy all of those. It's sad but I have memories of food #MMBC
ReplyDeleteI used to love that lotion! I remember using it so much when I was pregnant and nothing seemed to sooth my itchy skin quite like Palmers. Those profiteroles sound amazing.
ReplyDeleteI am judging you on your sweet tooth Kim, but I'm the same and have been stock piling lots of gluten free goodies such as christmas cake and iced mince pies
ReplyDeleteI quite like the festive goodies too and as you say, they’re only around for a short time so you might as well make the most of them! Your cosmos flowers are pretty. I didn’t realise Bacardi Breezers still existed! #project365
