A photo every day for a year! 5th - 11th April Week 15 of #Project365

Happy Sunday! I hope you are all having a great weekend. It has been a quiet one here. I had every intention of getting out in the garden yesterday and having a good old potter but that didn't happen. It rained most of the morning and then I just wanted a cosy day inside. The sun was shining but it was chilly out. The garden can wait, it’s not going anywhere.

The past week has flown over with it being the Easter holidays and Stu having a little time off work. We have had lots of family time and Becky had the best time seeing Mamma Mia at the theatre! She said it was brilliant!

Now for a photo every day!

Easter egg and chips
Blue nails and me
Cooking fever game
A bar and a bottle of Baileys

Sunday was all about Easter eggs! I was very happy with my choice this year, Galaxy! It’s always been my favourite chocolate. I always think about choosing a different egg but always go back to Galaxy.

Homemade chips are the best, especially when they are fried. We don't have them often but they are such a treat when we do.

Blue nails! The polish went on well but it didn't last as well as usual. It has started to chip away by Friday, usually I can get a full week out of them.

Just me. Ellie and I were off to meet Stu from work. We had a nice time until it was time to come home and the bus was cancelled. Apparently there weren’t enough drivers, which seems to be happening more and more lately. It’s so frustrating when you just want to get home.

I’m back on Cooking Fever again! I’ve had a bit of a love/hate relationship with this game over the years. I’ll play it loads, get really into it, complete loads of levels and restaurants and then get bored and stop playing. At one point, I decided to reset the whole thing and start again as I had completed most of it. It’s one of those games that is perfect when you don’t want to think too much and just want a bit of mindless tapping.

This bar was not for me! Once we got inside, I felt completely out of place. They had high chairs which were so awkward to climb onto and the lights were too flashy and bright. I think I’ve reached that stage in life where I like somewhere a bit more simple and calm. It definitely made me feel old but the ceiling was so pretty, it was fluffy and looked like clouds.

Baileys is usually just a Christmas thing for me until they bring out a new flavour. White Chocolate Flavour with Raspberry sounds delicious which sounds amazing. I haven’t actually tried it yet but I don’t think it’ll be long before I do!

  1. Nice pictures from your week! The chocolate and fries look so good!! Your nails are petty; too bad the color didn't last long. That ceiling is cool looking! Bars are generally way too loud for me. I have aged out of them! Hope your Sunday is going well!

  2. What a fun thing to do a photo a day - it's a good little diary!

  3. Ah N has a Galaxy egg this year. We're usually Cadbury all the way due to me having worked there in the past. The fries look really good, professional, not like my homemade ones. I've not been in a proper clubby type bar for years. We usually do village pubs for food, and occasionally bars in town for work socials, but even those we're generally seated in the garden areas and not out too late when it gets rowdy

  4. This is always a fun post! I enjoyed your photos and the stories behind them. I'm WAY too old for noisy bars now. That is not something I seek out. I like the light blue polish but am sorry it started to chip too soon. Wishing you a restful week ahead! Hoping you can get out into the garden! xo

  5. Your home fries do looks so good and tasty. I haven't made them in quite a while. I'll have to do that this week. Glad you had a great Easter! #MMBC

  8. You look lovely with your pink hair. It makes me think of hyacinths. and your polka dot shirt looks cute.
Galaxy egg sounds tasty, and the homemade chips look delicious too.
I don't like high chairs in bars and cafes, maybe because my legs are too short for them. :)
I've seen that Baileys in the shops, but haven't tried it. Will wait for your verdict.

  10. Galaxy eggs are good. Glad Becky enjoyed seeing Mamma Mia at the theatre. I’m the same with bars now – much prefer somewhere that’s simple and calm. I like the sound of the white chocolate and raspberry flavour Baileys. #project365
