Silent Sunday!

Again & Again Films....

Fay over at Glass Half Fun did a post listing the films she could watch again and again and got me thinking....Which films do I enjoy watching again and again....

I'm not usually one for watching films.....I will watch them now and again but it's usually the same ones...lol

My list....

All the classics....Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory...Mary Poppins, The Wizard of Oz & Oliver They never get old....Even my girls love them now!

Dirty Dancing of course.....No explanation needed!

Cruel Intentions.

Cool Runnings.....A very funny film! Becky has just discovered we have it on DVD....She's seen it about 20 times in the last few weeks...lol 

Snatch.....Unscrupulous boxing promoters, violent bookmakers, a Russian gangster, incompetent amateur robbers, and supposedly Jewish jewelers fight to track down a priceless stolen diamond....Wouldn't normally be my type of film but it's so funny and full of people I recognised when I first watched it....Vinnie Jones, Brad Pitt, Jason Statham & Frank Butcher off Eastenders...The language is so bad though but if they didn't swear it just wouldn't be the same...

The Breakfast Club! One of the best films from the 80's....I wanted to go to a school like that...lol

Demolition Man.....Another action Comedy! Send a maniac to catch a maniac.

Con Air....Keeps you on the edge of your seat, and laughing the whole time. With non stop action and hundreds of classic one-liners...Define irony. Bunch of idiots dancing on a plane to a song made famous by a band that died in a plane crash....hehehe

 Armageddon......So funny, romantic and I cry every time when Bruce Willis saves the world...This may not be the most scientifically accurate movie ever made but who cares. It was good.

Titanic....tragic, exciting, sensual, pretentious, corny, extravagant, and even a little cheesy. And I love every single minute of it!

The Harry Potter Films.....They are brilliant!!

What would be on your list?

Icelands Ice Cream....

Over the last month or so we've eaten tons and tons of Ice cream...We've had it with strawberries, cake, in bowls & cones....Covered with sauce and with flakes in....I think we've had it about 5 days a week at least...

 
I've now found the most delicious Ice-cream from Iceland for only £1 a tub for 900ml of icy goodness!!

 

It comes in four delicious flavours....Toffee, Cornish, Mint Choc Chip & Strawberry!!

Personally my favourites are the Cornish and the Mint Choc Chip....The strawberry one is nice too but I do find the Toffee one too sweet and sickly....The kids love it though...

As for the toppings I have found Poundland to be brilliant for the chocolate and strawberry sauce, the mini flakes and the Ice cream cones....All one pound each...A lot cheaper then at the supermarkets...

 

 I think if I keep eating Ice-cream as much as I have been I will be the size of a house by the end of the summer holidays....lol Ohh well who cares because I certainly don't!!

August Already....

How is it August already? 

This year is going so fast...

August is my favourite month of the year....So much always happens....It's the summer holidays so I get to spend all day with my girls! Housework takes a backseat and we do fun things.....

We also have my fella's birthday in the middle of the month on the 16th which also always sticks in my head as the day four years ago when we took a holiday to hospital for the girls to have their open heart surgery to repair the holes in their hearts....Both are fine now thankfully...

Later in the month there is Ellie's birthday.....She'll be 6! Wow! My baby is growing up so fast!! This year it's all about Princesses so presents will be princess related and we're having a princess birthday tea-party for her.....I have been told by her that she needs to go to the local soft play too....Last year I took her while Stu was sorting her bedroom out...She wanted a Toy Story bedroom....She got it and the obsession didn't even last a year....lol Now she thinks she needs to go to the soft play every year....We'll see!

Sometime this month I need to do the dreaded shoe shop for new school shoes....As well as a trip out for new school trousers for them both and coats.....I don't need to get the jumpers and shirts for Ellie as she still has all of Becky's old ones...but Becky needs new shirts.....

People ask why we never go on holiday in the summer holidays....This is why....It's all spend, spend, spend!! Plus we have Becky's birthday early in September....Add a holiday on top and we'd be in serious debt....lol
