Pizza Hut - Not Good!
After we had been round the Discovery Museum you can read about it HERE! we were rather peckish....Starving according to the kids! We visited Pizza Hut in The Gate billed as Newcastle’s premier leisure and entertainment centre....
We were lucky enough to eat for free just about!.....I'd won a £25 gift card a few months ago and had been saving it for a day out to Newcastle....
Right....I have never been to Pizza Hut before....From the age of about 13 until a couple of years ago every time I ate cheese I suffered from terrible migraines so Pizza Hut was always a big no, no for me...
So we visited for the first time last Friday.....Sorry to say I was disappointed.....
We walked in and were seated straight away.....I checked if I could use my gift card just to be on the safe side.....Then waited about 10 minutes for a waitress to come over.....She came running over when she saw I was taking pictures....lol
We decided on the Buffet deal....Unlimited Pizza, Pasta and Salad £6.99 for an adult & £3.99 for a child....
The kids had decided on strawberry milkshake to drink at £2.95 each....
Stu opted for the Unlimited fizzy drinks which meant he got free refills for £2.35....
I chose a sneaky bottle of Kopparberg for £3.95......I was quite tempted to ask if I could have the glass...lol It was quite fancy!
Then we were off to get the food....
The food was ok....Nothing special....The Pizza was ok but just ok!....The pasta just tasted of nothing....The garlic bead was rock solid and you can't really go wrong with the salad....That was fine.....
This is where the whole Pizza Hut experience it starts to get disappointing.....Stu had decided to go back for second helpings with Ellie....
A waitress came walking over and said here's your order of wedges...I said I didn't order any and she said ok I have the wrong table....She took them to the right table and went over to the till where there was a few members of staff standing about waved her arms about and I heard her say I can't believe I did that and said something I never heard then all the staff stood there looked over to me and smirked....It made me feel so uncomfortable.....
The kids had decided they had finished eating the savory food and wanted Ice-cream.....£1.95 for as much as they wanted....We went and helped ourselves.....Of course they wanted the chocolate sauce there was none left in the bottle....After the previous incident I didn't feel comfortable asking for a replacement.....
When we went for a trip to the toilet Becky, Ellie and myself had to take turns....There were 4 or 5 toilets but only one of them had toilet roll.....Not good!!
We asked for the bill and waited for at least 10 minutes while our waitress stood at the till messing about with her mobile phone.....Again, Not good!!
I don't think I will be rushing back to Pizza Hut anytime soon....A very disappointing experience for me!!

You either Love it or hate it...
Unloved and forgotten, thousands of Marmite jars across the UK are being
neglected. This year alone, over 1 in 10 Brits admit they haven't
opened their jar in over three months.
Have you seen the new TV advert? Parodying campaigns for animal and child welfare charities.....
The £2 million campaign is Marmite's first TV advert in two years, and premiered during ITV's Coronation Street on Monday & It quickly received negative comments on its Facebook and YouTube page.....It has received over 330 complaints to The Advertising Standards Agency (ASA)...
I personally thought Aww when I saw the advert and I thought it was funny!!
Who complains about these things?
I genuinely don't understand the complaints....Are they concerned that neglected children will go unheard because people will be caring too much about their jars? That people are going to say, "Oh, I used to care about abandoned animals but after Marmite made me realised how ridiculous that was I stopped".
Maybe they should do an advert for peoples who's sense of humour has been neglected.....Come on get a grip!
Should I be worried....I have two unopened neglected jars of Marmite in my kitchen cupboard....lol
