Unloved and forgotten, thousands of Marmite jars across the UK are being
neglected. This year alone, over 1 in 10 Brits admit they haven't
opened their jar in over three months.
Have you seen the new TV advert? Parodying campaigns for animal and child welfare charities.....
The £2 million campaign is Marmite's first TV advert in two years, and premiered during ITV's Coronation Street on Monday & It quickly received negative comments on its Facebook and YouTube page.....It has received over 330 complaints to The Advertising Standards Agency (ASA)...
I personally thought Aww when I saw the advert and I thought it was funny!!
Who complains about these things?
I genuinely don't understand the complaints....Are they concerned that neglected children will go unheard because people will be caring too much about their jars? That people are going to say, "Oh, I used to care about abandoned animals but after Marmite made me realised how ridiculous that was I stopped".
Maybe they should do an advert for peoples who's sense of humour has been neglected.....Come on get a grip!
Should I be worried....I have two unopened neglected jars of Marmite in my kitchen cupboard....lol
Haha great post! I haven't seen the ad yet but will look out for it. I would never neglect my marmite, it has seen me through some tough times ;)
ReplyDeletehahaha! :)
DeleteWell said!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was excellent and felt sorry for the marmite and I don't even like it. Lets face it though the ad worked because everyone and their grandmother is talking about Marmite. I think you should give yours to someone who appreciates it though especially since you have two jars you cruel woman :p
You're my inspiration....lol First saw the advert on your FB wall...hehehe :p
DeleteHow can you hate Marmite, both my son and I love it and we always have a large jar in the cupboard and no way will it last three months.
ReplyDeleteThis made me LOL! I love it and I love marmite and, in-fact the advert made me laugh! #sothere :P
ReplyDeleteI always skip the ads but saw all the fuss on Twitter, it's so obviously a joke; God bless those that don't have anything more to worry about than to complain about it though! ;)
ReplyDeleteBut is it as good as Aussie Vegemite?
