A photo every day for a year! 30th March - 5th April! Week 14 of #Project365

Sunday again! The past week flew over, I think it was because I had lots of fun things going on. I did expect it to drag, the week before Ellie breaks up from college always does but not this time. She now has almost 3 weeks off then exam season starts. Eek!

I am of course writing this yesterday and I am almost home alone, Becky is in bed sleeping off her night shift and Ellie is at the cinema watching The Minecraft Movie. I am so jealous, I really want to see it but didn't want to third wheel, I am going sometime over the next week and will drag Becky with me because I don't want to go alone.

Today we don't have much planned. We have a new curtain pole to put up in the kitchen and some new curtains and that's about as exciting as it gets. What are you up to today?

Now for a photo every day!

Teddy in flowers and sausage rolls
A food menu
A tool bag and sewing tin
Daffodils and washing basket

89/365 - 30th March
It was Mother's Day and Becky came in from work with a bunch of flowers for me. I felt so lucky. She went out of her way to get them and was tired after work so it made me feel so special.

90/365 - 31st March
Home made sausage rolls. They were a recipe from our Gousto Box and came out perfectly and tasted pretty amazing too. I skipped putting the black sesame seeds on, I don't think my family would have been keen. They are something which I will make again, I imagine them being so nice in the summer when we just want picky bits.

91/365 - 1st April
I went out for lunch to a new place and was so happy when I saw that they had Prawn Cocktail as a starter on the menu, my happiness didn't last long, they had no prawns! If only we went a couple of hours later after they had a delivery. Hmmf.

92/365 - 2nd April
We had a workman here fixing the cord that had snapped on the shower. I am sick of things breaking around here, they say they come in threes but we've had at least 6 things break over the last few weeks. That must be it for now but I've said it and tempted fate so something else will probably break.

93/365 - 3rd April
Becky had a hole in the cuff of one of her favourite hoodies which was annoying her. Apart from the hole the hoodie was still in decent condition so she got the sewing tin out and got to work fixing it. She didn't do a bad job, in fact it was probably better than I could do.

94/365 - 4th April
Finally the daffodils outside of my dad's are out. They are late bloomers due to his side of the road being in the shaded side but they're doing well now.

95/365 - 5th April
The washing basket was empty and so was the washing machine, such a good feeling! The line outside was full and it was perfect weather for drying clothes. The sun was shining and it was quite breezy!

  1. I'm happy for you and that sunshine... but a bit jealous, too! It's been raining non-stop for days here.. Those daffodils are so pretty- my tulips are in bloom and I've been enjoying them. Your sausage rolls look really good. It's disappointing to want something off of a menu and to hear the restaurant doesn't have it. I hope you found something else good!

  2. Love homemade sausage rolls. My Dad used to make them with rough puff pastry - they melted in the mouth. Well done on taking a photo every day - I would forget.

  3. The teddy in the flowers is really cute. I was really disappointed with some of the flowers at work, they came in half dead. I am really craving a hot sausage roll now LOL

  4. Those sausage rolls do look good. N is the maker of those in our house. I never get to the bottom of my wash basket because there's an old duvet cover in there that really needs chucking, and an old hoodie that I can't be bothered to wash because it won't fit me anymore!

  5. Your homemade sausage rolls look amazing, there's a pie shop near me that makes them like that. I can never get through a full one as they are so filling.
Good on Becky for sewing her hoodie, I think we sould all be doing that, make-do and mend.
An empty washing basket is the dream, if only it stayed that way!

  6. Dad's daffodils look great and well done on emptying the laundry basket! Roll on those warmer days when we can hang the washing outside. #MMBC

  8. Those Mother’s Day flowers are beautiful and the home-made sausage rolls look amazing. How disappointing not to be able to have your prawn cocktail starter. Well done to Becky on fixing the hole in her hoodie. How lovely to have an empty washing basket. It’s been a long time since ours was empty! #project365

  9. The Mother's Day flowers are lovely. We never have a full washing basket these days with just the two of us, I'm always looking for things to wash to make a full load lol
