Our weekly meal plan! 21st - 27th April #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

I feel like I am running behind with everything, blogging especially. I am writing this blog post yesterday afternoon, usually I write it on Saturday but I was out for the afternoon and the night with Becky seeing a show, I will have more about that later in the week. As I am writing this I have about 6 hours of wrestling to watch before the 2nd night of Wrestlemania last night that I am staying up to watch.

Last week was a busy week and as fun as it was I am glad it's over just so we can get back to a bit of normal! We ate everything I had planned but just on different days. Our favourite meal was the Roast Pork Belly, Apple Stuffing & Mash. We had it on quite a chilly day so it was perfect and I learned how to make apple stuffing balls, they were pretty amazing and something I will make again.

This week is going to be strange as we're not getting a Gousto box. I was out Saturday our usual delivery day and because of Easter they weren't delivering Friday, Sunday or Monday so it seemed pointless just getting a couple of meals before our next box was delivered. So this week we're having some of our favourite meals, picked by my family!

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Home made pizza and I am not getting suckered in to making everyone's, my family can help and at least put their own toppings on.
TuesdayHot dogs, fried onions and mustard with fries.
WednesdayChicken curry. A lazy type, the sauce from a jar and all thrown into the slow cooker. We will probably have it with rice and naan bread.
Thursday - Sausage pasta.
Friday - Fish, chips and mushy peas.
Saturday - Gousto meal - Hot Honey Bacon & Fried Egg Pancakes.
Sunday - A roast dinner of some sort.

What are you eating this week?

  1. Some our current favourites there, we all love loaded hot dogs only we have to have a little chilli beef and cheese. We also like to make our own pizzas we buy our own bases and everyone chooses their own toppings. Sausage pasta is also a favourite for most (Star can't eat pasta) Fish chips and mushy peas is MY favourite. And we sometimes have curry from jars, although we haven't had one for a while we are actually having it tonight!

  2. Hot honey bacon and fried egg pancakes sound delicious, I don't think I've heard of that before.
I did a curry that way in the slow cooker last week but the sauce went a bit watery, I wasn't sure what to add to it to thicken it up.

  3. I hope you had a great time out with your daughter! Sounds so fun... Your meals all sound good, too. I have not thought of any meals past tonight's and it will be done courtesy of the husband who will grill!

  4. I wonder some times if the weather is not a factor in how much one gets done...I have been in a lull myself. Fried onions with hot dogs, why have I never thought of that? And I am glad the Pork Belly was a success, pork belly is a favorite here! #MMBC
