We like a curry but I am not keen on spicy hot one's and neither is Becky so I tend to make mild one's sometimes I make the from scratch and other times I just can't be bothered and use a some jars of curry sauce and the slow cooker. It's a total cheats curry but oh so delicious!
I was making extra than what we needed for the four of us so doubled the ingredients. I always like a few tubs of curry in the freezer. It's so good for a quick meal to have with rice or chips.
Ingredients.
I used 3 jars of Korma sauce. I used nearly the cheapest from Tesco.
2 packs of diced chicken breast.
A bag of diced onions.
2 bell peppers.
A tin of pineapple chunks and 3/4 a big tub of large mushrooms chopped up.
I also added a couple of handfuls of sultanas.
All that needed chopping was the peppers and the mushrooms. Everything went into the slow cooker without being browned and then I gave it a good mix.
I left it to cook for about five or 6 hours and we ate it with rice and naan bread.
I totally forgot to take photos when it was plated up but it was delicious and the kids said it was the best curry I've ever made!
Do you like a curry? What's your favourite type?
A great looking recipe x
ReplyDeleteLazy and delicious - thanks - we'll enjoy this
ReplyDeleteOoh I'd never thought of putting pineapple into a curry but I bet it really works. I will have to investigate next time I make one :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks so good and hassle free! Our Jayden loves curry and would gladly live on it if I let him! x
ReplyDeleteI'm checking this out after seeing it on your meal plan for this week - it looks so easy to make! Great idea to make enough to freeze too :)
