Last weeks meal plan went well. We ate everything apart from the pizza on Friday, we ended up having pizza for lunch at my dad's so ended up getting a takeaway from the Fish & Chip shop. My favourite meal from last week was the Honey sesame chicken with potato and green bean curry. It was a fun recipe to make, seeing it all come together and it tasted good too. Usually I am not a fan of green beans but this time I really liked them. My family loved the one pot pork and beef cheeseburger macaroni, it was a little too cheesy for me though.
I don't know what I have on this week, Stu wants to do something today but it depends on the weather and both the girls are home tomorrow so I am going to try and do something fun with them. The girls are busy for the rest of the week though they have loads on and have so far kept me informed about where they are going to be. Hooray!
On the menu this week we have:
Monday - I am not sure yet, it depends on what we end up doing and the weather, it's forecast rain for most of today.
Tuesday - Gousto meal - Chicken Katsu Salad With Curried Coconut Croutons. My family are not usually fans of salads but love anything which includes chicken katsu so that swung it.
Wednesday - Tuna and sweetcorn fishcakes with new potatoes. I always say Stu will eat anything but when it comes to seafood he becomes fussy. He will only eat tuna if it isn't obvious and in his face. This should be hidden enough.
Thursday - Gousto meal - Sesame Pork & Egg Fried Brown Rice. We have had this before and really enjoyed it.
Friday - A help yourself evening.
Saturday - Gousto meal - Sausage and mustard sarnie with smokey potato wedges.
Sunday - Pie, mashed potato and vegetables of some sort.
What are you eating this week?
Sounds like a good meal plan and I hope you guys can go out and do something today. I hope the tuna is hidden enough for Stu! I have family members who are like that with certain foods. Have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the recipe for the tuna & sweetcorn fish cakes. I will definitely be making these.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tuna and sweetcorn recipe! We love fishcakes and these look really easy to make :)

This week sounds perfect and I hope you get to do something fun with the girls tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteHow seamless it becomes when we plan the meal for the week! Stay connected. Hugs.:)
ReplyDeleteThe Honey Chicken with the curried potatoes and green beans sounds very good. I am assuming from your post the chicken was not curry and the vegetables were. I have never thought to do a curry side dish vegetable, and I really like that idea. I have made a curried broccoli salad, which we quite enjoyed. #MMBC!
ReplyDeletePhew just been catching up on a lot of your posts. Yep the weather today is miserable. Hope you find something fun to do.
ReplyDeleteYour meals always sound interesting. I don't plan... just me. I will do some grocery shopping tomorrow, though. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteYour menu sounds SO DELISH- I will need to refer back to your blog for some ideas :)
ReplyDeleteTonight I made Alec's favorite casserole-- a chicken, broccoli, and rice dish with mozzarella cheese since his meals at home are numbered. Ian doesn't like it so he's headed out to get his own dinner. I know one night this week we're having chicken & shrimp kabobs, another night we're making pork chops with couscous & green beans, my mother in law's birthday is coming up and she requested burgers and tater tots.. the rest of the week I figure I'll plan as the days come.
ReplyDeleteYour meal plan looks delicious! Enjoy your day out with your lovely girls.
