A photo every day for a year! 24th - 30th May! Week 22 of #Project365

Happy Sunday!! I hope you are all having a good weekend! We have had a great one even though we haven't been up to much. Yesterday was a lazy day after having a night out on the town with Stu. Last night we watched the Britain's Got Talent final and tonight we have wrestling to watch. It's on at a sensible time as it's live from Italy!

We have had a fantastic week with Ellie being off college for her half term break. We have fitted in a couple of fun outings, had some downtime and she has been off out with friends. The weather has been lovely, which was a real bonus, a little too hot at the start of the week but cooling off as the week has gone on to a comfortable 22C yesterday.

Now for a photo every day!

The Grand Prix on the TV
Working in the garden and the Moomins exhibition
Samsung cup and treats from the Asian food store
Two toilets and new Lynx spray

I watched sport all day on Sunday and it was all brilliant. We had the last day of the Premier League and the Canadian Grand Prix was on at 9pm, so we could watch it live and that was fun! When nothing exciting happened for a few minutes, Ellie jinxed it by saying she was going to the loo and of course just as she left the living room, something happened. George Russell's car broke down.

We were out in the garden giving it a good tidy on the hottest day of the year at the time. The next day was even hotter. We were sensible though, drinking plenty and spending time in the shade. It didn't stop Stu getting burned though. He forgot to put sun cream on. Oops. He lived up to the meme that had been doing the rounds, the bottom of his arms red and the top white, he looked just like those Squashies sweets.

The girls and I went to see a Moomins exhibition in Hull. The girls didn't see the attraction but I thought it was fantastic! I loved The Moomins when I was a child! It did make me chuckle that some of the exhibition was aimed at little kids who haven't a clue who the Moomins are. lol

Stu had a fun afternoon at work with the Samsung reps visiting and showing off all their new products. There's always freebies to be had and Stu came home with this big cup which Ellie has already claimed. She loves a big cup!

Ellie went to town and visited the Asian food store and came back with these treats. The Pocky sticks were good even though I am not usually one for matcha but the bottle of lemonade just tasted like fizzy water. She liked it though.

I feel so out of touch with the younger generation. Twobicles are a thing. In a bar in town there was a cubical in the bathroom with two toilets. It's a shame it looked like it needed a really good clean and a couple of repairs but I thought it was fascinating.

This is new, to me anyway. My family all use the Lynx spray and this has appeared, Peach Infusion and it smells pretty good. It is a real summer scent!

  1. I did Picture of the Day for so many years - I have tried to get back to it but fall out of practice. Glad you posted the one of you working in your garden - I was trying to picture it when you were talking about all the work you had done :)

  2. I love the treats! I found some Japanese seaweed crisps and Korean iced coffee in Tesco yesterday and they were delicious.
I've never heard of a twobicle, what on earth lol.
It sounds like you all made the most of the lovely weather.

  3. I like seeing your photos of the week. Nice to see the garden! I don't think I'm a fan of twobicles though. :)

  4. My girls like Pocky sticks! Some places around here have large varieties of flavors. Yikes, why would anyone want to sit on the potty with someone else being right beside you on a potty?? Oh my, we're regressing as a species, I'm afraid, lol. Have a great Sunday

  6. In spite of your photo, I still looked up "twobicles" and then understood your photo. I have not heard of this before and frankly, it's not for me. But thank you for widening my horizons, so to speak.

  7. Is that a female version of Lynx, or just peachy still for men? Not sure I'd like that.
That toilet cubicle is my worst nightmare - one of my only dreams I remember from when I was younger was sitting on a toilet with low cubicles around that everyone could see into. Shudder. I don't understand why people would want to be in cubicles together anyway, but for sharing the toilet habit. Just strange. Plus surely it would mean the queues are longer than if it were 2 separate toilets

  10. You seemed to have a good week. Do remember to use sunblock when working in the yard and remind Stu too. I hope this week is a little cooler for you. #MMBC

  12. Sadly I don't think twobicubles are actually a thing, it's people trying to make them a thing, having a novelty theme to draw people in then everyone claiming they are a thing. That's what I like about teaching, a small percentage get caught up with the hype of this nonsense the rest explain it all to me and say no one really wants or likes it all lol.

  13. I definitely had to read the caption for the twobicles because I thought to myself, why oh why did she take a photo of toilets?! Haha. I've never heard of twobicles and I don't think I'd be a fan, although, it would be convenient for people with little kids! When Olivia was little I always took her in the stall with me and we had to take turns, so that would have been handy to have.
