Lego Friends Downtown Bakery - Review!!

My girls and I were recently sent the Lego Friends Downtown Bakery set to have a play with.....It came at the ideal time.....Ellie had been sent home from school after vomiting all over her classroom.....

When it arrived Ellie was asleep so I left it in front of her on the table so it would be the first thing she saw when she woke up....

Please excuse the PJ's and mess in the background I was in the middle of the housework when she woke up!

She was rather excited to see it and forgot all about being poorly! Lego makes everything better!!

Have some great construction fun with the Lego Friends Downtown Bakery!  Bake a custom cake at the Downtown Bakery with Mia! Open the sweet little shop by building the sign, canopy and outdoor display. Fill the shelves with cakes, bread, cookies and croissant accessories! When a customer arrives to order a wild-berry birthday cake, get creative in the kitchen with lots of food and utensils. Set the mixture into a pan and place it in the oven until it’s baked to perfection! Decorate it with fruit and ring up the order on the cash register.
  • Features sign and canopy, oven, outdoor cake stand, kitchen with utensils, cash register and a phone.Includes Mia and Danielle mini-doll figures
  • Accessories include cakes, bread, cookies, croissant, fruit and syrups
  • Open the cash register!
  • Bake pastries and cakes in the opening oven!
  • Fill the display stands with fun food accessories!
  • LEGO Friends pieces are fully compatible with all LEGO System bricks
  • Pieces: 253

Ellie dived straight on in and got with building....The instructions are very detailed and easy to follow....Ellie is 6 and a half and had no problems at all....

What we like...

There are so many accessories! The little food items are adorable!

It really appeals to girls unlike the other Lego sets which are available.....

This set encourages positive roleplay and creativity....

It's priced well...£25.99

The mini dolls are very cute....You get Mia in a bakery uniform and Danielle, basically a blonde Olivia in a cute purple outfit & a bow.

The Mini Dolls are a little bit taller than the regular Lego Mini figures. However the building is constructed using the standard-scale Lego doors and windows, making the set compatible with the other lines....

This is more than just a Lego building set...Once put together it is a great toy to play with again and again...

What we didn't like....

Ellie loved everything about it but I felt there was a lot of very small parts.....I can see quite a few pieces being lost over time....

That's it....There are no other bad points....If you are looking for a good introduction to Lego to a girl who maybe isn't so keen on construction sets then this is an ideal choice....

I was sent the Lego Friends Downtown Bakery free of charge to try...This is my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own...

What women like....

I can't speak for all women but there are certain things that as a woman I really like in life....Not everyone will agree with me but each to their own....

A good chat....
I love a good chat, gossip and a moan with friends.....My friends and I meet for coffee every week and some of the chats we have are just awesome....

Shoes....
I love shoes....Pretty, high heeled one's....I just wish they liked me....I've not been able to wear heels for years....I was with my friend a few weeks ago in this boutique shop and the shoes were just beautiful we were Ohhing and ahhing over them....I do love to look at shoes...

Power Ballads....
Especially while doing the housework.....A bit of Meatloaf, Celine Dion or Bon Jovi gets me dancing around with a mop and the hoover....It gives me a bit of added energy and motivation....

Clothes....
I have clothes for every occasion but no matter how many clothes I have in my wardrobe I always have nothing to wear....I love clothes which brings me onto.....

 Shopping...
I think everyone on this planet is aware of the fact that women like shopping more than men! I love to shop....I just wish I had more money to do it! Online shopping is just the best and don't get me started on eBay....I can go on there looking for one thing and leave the site after buying 5 things none of them being the item I originally went on for....

Morning coffee in bed....
Or pushing my luck breakfast in bed....

Crying....
At TV Shows....Surprise, Surprise always gets me and films....Armageddon, The Green Mile, Titanic, Ghost, Marley & me & The Land Before Time always get me bawling!....

Chocolate....
No explanation needed....lol

A soak in the bath....
I love a good soak....With candles, bubbles and a glass of wine preferably with no interruptions from the kids....It doesn't happen very often....

Cocktails....
I always think of cocktails as a girly drink.....If I offered my fella one he would laugh in my face....I do love a good Woo woo!

Cuddling....
Apart from fact the cuddling reduces stress and releases the feel-good hormone oxytocin I do love a good cuddle....Whether it be from my girls or my fella....There is nothing that a good cuddle can't fix...

Someone else doing the dishes....
Especially after I've cooked a meal....It feels like I'm appreciated....

Beauty Products....
It's only recently I have got into beauty products....I think I'm at an age now where I'm thinking more about looking older and the wrinkles have started to appear so any help beauty products give me is fantastic!!
