A home office in the loft.....I wish!

At the moment when I blog I do it sitting on my armchair with the laptop on my knee....I often dream of having my own office....A bit of space just for me where I can blog in peace and keep everything in order.....

We have 3 bedrooms and the girls don't want to share a room so the only place for an office would be the loft....That would do me. Work would obviously have to be done like boarding it all out, laying carpeting, getting some electric up there and of course some windows....

When I was a teen my dad ended up boarding out the loft of our family home and I claimed it as my bedroom....It was huge and I loved it but the only problem was there was no natural light....

My office room would have to be light and airy during the day and cosy and warm on a cold winters evening.....Some big windows on the back of the house where it gets the sun most of the day would be amazing.....

A blind from VELUX would be ideal....If the sun got too much I could always pull them down....They would be great in the winter as well, to hide away the grey, dismal sky and keep the heat in....

Now what would I have up there.....
I have so many ideas!

Westney Office Desk -- Gaslift Chair -- Tribeca 2 Drawer Filer -- Light Pale Pink Table Lamp.

Weekly Planner Wall Chart -- Pink Candy 30 Litre Pedal Bin -- Artificial potted plant -- Pink Retro Clock

Bloom Roses Magazine File -- Swan Pink Non Drip Keep Warm Coffee Maker -- 4 Storage Boxes -- Birdhouse multi frame wall art.

Can you see a theme here....Usually I don't go in for pink things but these items I picked are so cute....I must be going soft in my own age....

Ideally it would be out of bounds for the girls and it could come in handy hiding presents for Birthdays and Christmas....hehehe

I do have a feeling if I did have a office in the loft it would be taken over by Stu so he could play his PC games in peace....

A Weird Week....

This week has been a strange one....There has been lots of highs and excitement and a couple of lows and dramas but to be honest this week has been a bit....

The highlight of our week was on Tuesday.....We had some snow!! It wasn't much but it snowed! Ellie went to bed singing "Do you want to build a snowman" I hunted out all the wellies expecting there to be more by the morning but it had all just about gone by the time we got up....We were all a little bit gutted...

Tuesday evening I had an early night which very weird for me....I was in bed by half nine.....I'd felt sick all day but nothing had come of it until just after midnight....It's no fun running to the loo in the cold all the way from our bedroom....It's times like this I wish our bathroom was upstairs....lol The next day I was fine....Thankfully!

On Wednesday a prize that I won over Christmas arrived.....It was from a furniture company....A mystery prize! I expected it to be to a coffee or side table....Maybe a mirror or some photo frames....Something like that for the home....

It arrived in two huge boxes...I tore into them like a kid at Christmas......It was a home bar.....How very random and very weird! No wonder when the woman arranging delivery was laughing on the phone (Yes I forgot to ask what it was) Years ago before kids I would have loved it but it just isn't my thing now....It just didn't suit our home plus we didn't exactly have the room for it.....Thankfully it has found a new home with a couple who's children have all grown up and they are making a bar/games room in their summer house....How fancy! hehehe

I argued a lot with a certain company on Tuesday....I thought I had paid a bill before Christmas until they sent a letter saying they were taking me to court if the debt wasn't paid in full straight away....I then had 4 phone calls from the company in one day.....I told them I would pay it Thursday as I literally had pennies in my bank account (this week was the week all the bills for the month comes out...The rent, Sky and a few others) The people were quite rude on the phone...Demanding I set up a direct debit, threatening me with charges and taking me to court.....

The 5th and final phone call came and I was ready to shout down the phone at them....I explained the situation and the guy actually laughed out loud when he looked at the amount I owed....FIVE POUNDS!! He said it has probably cost more in phone calls to me than the amount I owed! The bill was paid in full as promised on Thursday.....

The kids are back into the routine of school....They have been more willing to get up on a morning....Wednesday night they were both asleep by quarter past eight!! That never happens and Becky went up to her room and tidied it without me asking....Very weird! She had a motive! She wants her boyfriend to come and visit but even if he does they won't be going upstairs in her room....Gawd! I'm turning into my mother...lol

I want to watch....

I don't seem to watch many films so when I take time out to watch one they have to be good! This year there are quite a few that I am looking forward too....

Cinderella - March

A live-action retelling of the classic fairy tale about a servant step-daughter who wins the heart of a prince....I'm sure Ellie will love this too....She is a huge fan of Cinderella and princesses in general....

Fifty Shades of Grey - February

We all know the story.....I'm not much of a reader but I read all the books.....I'm interested how this will be made into a film without it being a porn film....lol I will be watching it as soon as I can....

Terminator Genisys - Summer 2015

The year is 2029. John Connor, leader of the resistance continues the war against the machines. At the Los Angeles offensive, John's fears of the unknown future begin to emerge when TECOM spies reveal a new plot by SkyNet that will attack him from both fronts; past and future, and will ultimately change warfare forever.

I was so excited to see the trailer for this!! It looks amazing!! I'm not even an action movie fan but I do love the Terminator films.....I remember being at secondary school and it was the run up to Christmas and someone brought in a copy of Terminator 2....We only had the hour long lesson to watch it and I was left hanging for years to find out what happened....lol

Minions - July

Minions Stuart, Kevin and Bob are recruited by Scarlet Overkill, a super-villain who, alongside her inventor husband Herb, hatches a plot to take over the world.

I laughed out loud watching the trailer.....I hope the rest of the film is just as good......hehehe We love the Minions here! They are just so cute.....

Inside Out - December 2015

Riley is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school....

What films are you looking forward to this year?

My first profile picture....

I'll admit it....I'm a sheep....If I see someone doing it on Facebook I want to do it too....Plus my friends like to nominate me for things.....The Ice bucket challenge....The no make up selfie and now sharing your first profile photo...

This was my first profile picture on Facebook.....Gawd! I look so young and the girls were tiny!! I can't remember exactly when it was but I know Ellie was only a few weeks old and we were on our way out to see Stu's mam and dad....

It's just a bit of fun but it got me looking to the pictures I've had as my profile pic.....Quite a few I'd actually forgotten about.....

My hair has changed so much over the 7 or so years I've had Facebook....I didn't realise how much!! Long, short, brown, black, red, blonde....Oh dear! I keep saying to everyone I have had the same hair-do for the last 10 years....lol

The photos do bring back a lot of memories....

Days out, trips to see Bon Jovi in concert, The day the girls got out of hospital after heart surgery, Ellie's first day at school, Christmas.....A lovely blast from the past!
