A photo every day for a year! 31st August - 6th September! Week 36 of #Project365

What a week we've had! It feels like we've had a week of firsts. We had Ellie's birthday weekend and it lasted all weekend, we even had a little party tea on Sunday with sandwiches, cakes and sausage rolls. Then it was straight back into routine with Ellie heading back to college, we had a couple of days of normality and and then her and Becky went to a music event on Friday night.

I feel like I have been playing catch up all week and even now I still have lots to do before the new week starts. I’m not stressing. If it gets done, it gets done. If not there’s always tomorrow or at least that’s what I keep telling myself!

Now for a photo every day!

A moody looking sky
The bus and my youngest
Percy Pigs and a Pumpkin spice candle
Me and my eldest

243/365 - 31st August
Such a moody sky! One of those days where you don’t know whether to grab your sunglasses, a raincoat or just stay inside and wait it out. We had sunshine, rain and wind basically all the seasons in the space of a few hours. We stayed home, watched movies and just relaxed.

244/365 - 1st September
Stu and I went on a little adventure. The bus routes have changed and we decided to go to a retail park that we don't usually visit, there is a direct bus now. I was in my element in the biggest B&M Store that I have ever seen. I will be visiting again before Christmas.

245/365 - 2nd September
The last back to school photo I’ll ever take of my girls. Ellie started her last year at college, this time doing mechanical engineering. She’s absolutely loving it so far and I couldn’t be prouder. It feels strange though, like the end of an era.

246/365 - 3rd September
Percy Pigs! Yum! When Stu and I were out on Monday we went to M&S and had to get some Percy Pigs. I forgot how much I love them and they taste even better when you haven’t had them for ages!

247/365 - 4th September
It was one of those rainy, gloomy days where everything feels a bit meh. I decided to light a candle. Pumpkin Spice, of course. I know it’s only just September but I’m ready for blankets, hot drinks and candles everywhere!

248/365 - 5th September
The girls had a night away, so Stu and I thought why not us too? We headed out for a meal. Nothing too fancy and we even managed to catch the last bus home from town. We’re not usually out late enough for last buses anymore, so it was a bit of a novelty.

249/365 - 6th September
The girls had a great evening out and slept well at the hotel, got home and Becky did the sensible thing and unpacked her bag straight away before she could get too comfy and lose the motivation.

  1. I've been burning the autumn/winter candles for a few weeks now, they are the perfect tonic to a gloomy day.
It's great that Ellie has had such a positive start to her final college year.
It sounds like you all had a fun night out, I'm not sure I would still be awake for the last bus home in fact I have no clue how late buses run nowadays lol.
I hope you are having a nice relaxing sunday x

  2. I'm not a big "pumpkin" fan, but did burn a maple scented candle a few nights ago. It's getting to be that time of year, even thought our temps are still in the 90s (F). How fun that your girls got a night out and so did you and Stu!! Nice!! Have a great week ahead, Kim! xo

  3. What a great week! Sometimes time will do a tap dance, and other times it completely sprints!

  4. Nice you were able to go out and enjoy a night out with Stu. Weather's been so up and down here, but definitely a bit cooler is nicer for me. It was warmer today though. I totally forgot to take a first day photo of N. I should take one this week so at least I've got one for this year. Hope Ellie's last year goes well.

  5. Nice pictures from your week! That's cool about the new bus route. I can imagine you'll make good use of that when you need to shop or just want to get away :). Glad the girls had a blast together- lots going on and I know you're counting your blessings!

  7. I can't burn candles anymore due to my asthma - candles emit particles that cause an asthma attack. I do miss them, but I do my stovetop potpourri that doesn't bother me.

  8. I was just looking at the candles the other day thinking if it's the right season now. You convinced me, it is. :) Glad that you go out with Stu, when girls are away.
The first last day sounds exciting and a bit sad at the same time. What a course Ellie has chosen, wow!
We had the same weird weather, changing dramatically through the day.
