Happy Sunday! I hope you are all having a good weekend. We’re having a really quiet one here which feels like such a treat. It’s mostly just Stu and me rattling around the house as Becky’s back at work and Ellie is off out living her best life. After three birthdays crammed into less than a month and Stu and I having a rare night out last weekend I am glad to be doing nothing much at all.
Yesterday after nipping into town I got back into my pj's, had a good clean around the house and did some baking with the apples and pears which I picked off my dad's fruit trees. It was one of those proper homey days where you just feel settled and content. I don’t think I’ve had one of those in a while so it was very much needed.
Now for a photo every day!
250/365 - 7th September
Sunday was a lazy one and I spent most of it catching up on blog bits in front of the TV. Snacks were obviously involved The doughnuts from Iceland are really good.
251/365 - 8th September
I had a walk to the farm shop. I really should use it more often as the veg there is so fresh and looks like it’s actually seen the soil unlike what you get from the supermarket. The prices are a little higher but they weren't too bad and it feels good to support local.
252/365 - 9th September
Freshly painted nails. I did think about putting false one's on as I had cut my nails right down but I couldn't be bothered. I went with a greyish/blue colour.
253/365 - 10th September
Becky's birthday and out of all the present's that she got she was overjoyed with the toy WWE title belt that her sister had got her. She does want a real one but they are so expensive, even she has the sense not to spend over £150 on one.
254/365 - 11th September
I had given up on my tomato plants, they looked dead a couple of weeks ago but when I was putting some rubbish out I stood one something and when I turned around I noticed tomato's on the little plants, there's quite a few of them as well! What a surprise!
255/365 - 12th September
Ellie had an appointment in town and wanted me to go with her for some moral support, she said. I think it was more that she wanted me to buy her breakfast. hehehe We had a full English breakfast and a nice pot of tea each. The place we go brings tea out in little pots with a little jug of milk, we always feel so fancy!

I thought I had plugged my phone in to charge last night, it turns out I didn't. Oops. It's a good job there are charging points on the bus.
Nice pictures- it looks like your nails are professionally done. Good job! Love the WWE belt. Abby had one of those. Are you guys AJ fans? I think that's the name of the gal who's returned? Abby and my husband love her!! There's nothing quite like seeing baby tomatoes on the vine- they're just so cute and you know (or hope anyway) that they're going to grow up into red, plump tomatoes :). Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
ReplyDeleteYep, we're AJ Lee fans, I was from before but she's new to my eldest and she's her new favourite. I am hoping the tomatoes turn red too, they're a lovely surprise. Hope you are having a good weekend.
DeleteIt sounds like you needed that homely day! You have been busy with all of the birthdays.
ReplyDeleteThe farm shop sounds fab, food always tastes better from there, doesn't it! And you will be enjoying your tomatoes soon as well.
Love the colour of your nails, I need to do mine this afternoon.
I did smile at Becky's WWE title belt, Jayden had one of those, too. He was really into wrestling at one time.
Hope Ellie's appointment went well. xx
Life is quite wonderful isn't it? Love the Farm Shop.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you've had a nice relaxing weekend after such a busy week.
ReplyDeleteThe farm shop veg looks so lovely and fresh, we don't have anything like that close by sadly but I wish we did.
A cup of tea always tastes better when it's made in a pot I think, especially with a couple of rounds of toast.
Vic's looking forward to a full English breakfast more than anything on our upcoming trip.
ReplyDeleteI keep my nails short, too. They work better for me when they are short. I only polish them if I am going somewhere fancy. Farm markets always have the best produce. Wishing you a blessed week ahead, Kim!
ReplyDeleteI can't let my nails grow too long or I snag them or otherwise hit them and hurt. Your donut looks good. I have diabetes now and must avoid all treats. Boo! #MMBC
ReplyDeleteI try to take a picture every day too, just don't always get around to posting them - ha! Sounds like you had a cozy weekend - those are so needed, right? Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteThat doughnut... oh my!
ReplyDeleteI love a fancy little tea service too. I would love a cozy day at home to clean and bake but don't see that happening in the next couple of weeks. So much on the calendar as this is the month for all of our appointments-drs, eyes, etc. plus some other commitments. I try not to look at the whole calendar and just take it one day at a time. I'd love to have a place to pick pears.
ReplyDeleteThat donut looks so yummy! I really like your nails; I went with a glittery gray/silver this week thinking it felt a bit more fall like than the pinks and things I've been using.
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the photo every day. I enjoyed reading about each day. Your daughter looks so happy with that belt. I love it!!!! Awesome. I also had a slower paced cozy weekend it was nice but I need one of those donuts. :)
I love that nail color! It's such a great shade for fall! And congrats on the tomatoes! I've never tried to grow anything like that and I'm not sure I could. I bet you were excited to see them pop up after having nothing for so long!
