What I have loved this week! Week 37. #FridayFavourites

Just last week I mentioned that one of my favourites was being back into a routine. That didn't last long. lol My fella took a couple of days off work and Becky too. Hopefully next week everyone should be back at work and where they should be. Now to share some of the things that I have loved this week. Of course I am linking up with Erika and Andrea to share my favourites!

What I have loved this week

The farm shop!
We are so lucky to have a fantastic farm shop just a short walk away. I admit I don't use it as often as I should but I did on Monday and bought the veg for the roast dinner from it. Everything somehow tastes better when you know it's fresh out of the ground.

Over the years I have watched some of this documentary show on Channel 4. It uses a fly on the wall format to show the everyday lives of the staff and pupils of secondary schools all over the UK. With the new series of Educating Yorkshire on TV now Becky and have gone back and watched the old series of it. Educating Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and we're halfway through Essex! All the schools are so different but the teenagers are a lot alike with their dramas. We still have The East End and Cardiff to watch.

My dad's new old car!
My dad's hobby is doing up old cars and he's got himself a new project! It is a Reliant Ant and that is as much as I know apart from just about everything is seized on it. Eek!

Date night with my fella.
My fella and I don't have many nights out together but the kids were off out on Friday evening and we had a night out. Just a meal out and a couple of drinks but it was nice to rush around getting ready, meeting Stu from work and getting the last bus home!

The girls getting home safely!
The girls had their night away, they went to a music event and stayed in a hotel. I love that they can have a night away but I was so glad when they got home. I do worry about them, not because they would do anything stupid, it's other people that scare me!

Starbucks!
Becky and I went to Starbucks during the week and got our first Pumpkin Spice drinks of the year! Her's an Iced Pumpkin Spice Caramel Macchiato and mine a Pumpkin Spice Cream Frappuccino. They were amazing! We of course had to get a cake pop too! How cute is the puppy one!

I Fought the Law!
I Fought the Law is a four part true crime drama television series for ITV written by Jamie Crichton and starring Sheridan Smith. The series is based on Ann Ming's non fiction book For the Love of Julie detailing a long campaign to overturn the 800 year old British double jeopardy law following the murder of her daughter!

I can just about remember this happening as my family lived in the small town where it happened, at the time. I was a bit young to know what was going on but knew it was something. What a courageous woman Ann Ming was and the acting in this is just fantastic! It's so inspirational that normal woman changed an 800 year old law!

My eldest girls birthday!
On Wednesday Becky turned 23. She was so happy with her presents and I am so pleased. She is so hard to buy for as she buys what she wants whenever she wants. We got her a pool cue, some clothes she had picked out and a few other bits and bobs. Her favourite present came from her sister though, a kids toy WWE Championship belt. lol We had a meal out and she then headed out with friends.

What have you loved over the past week?

  1. Like you I love routines! But when you have children and a husband sometimes it's hard to keep the routine up.

  2. It sounds like a good week. That cake pop is so cute!! The true crime show sounds good/interesting, especially since you have a connection to the place where the crime happened. Good on her woman for changing a law after a tragedy. Your date night sounds fun- I hope your week continues to be a good one :).
