Our weekly meal plan! 12th - 18th April. #MealPlanningMonday

Our Weekly Meal Plan

Happy Monday! It's a new week and for some it's an exciting day with more restrictions being lifted. Shops, hairdressers, pubs, gyms and most importantly to us Primark are opening again. lol We aren't rushing to go shopping yet, we have decided to let the craziness die down a little before we venture out.

Last weeks meal plan went well. We ate the salad on the coldest day which my dad thought was hilarious. We did skip the pizza on Friday and Stu cooked fish & chips. I would have preferred it from the chip shop but we're trying to save a bit of money. We will need it for the big shopping trip next week.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Sloppy Joe's.
Wednesday - Pork and apple sausages and potato wedges.
Friday - Pizza.
Saturday - Burgers in buns with fries.
Sunday - Mince, dumplings and mash.

What are you eating this week?

The wild side of the garden. #MySundayPhoto

There is some of my garden that I haven't got around to weeding and sorting out. I am tempted to leave it as it is and see what else grows because these purple flowers are new and I didn't plant them.

Week 14 of #Project365. 3rd - 9th April. A photo every day for a year!

It has been a funny old week. Most of the time I really have to think about what day it is with having Easter and the kids being off school. I had my vaccine and didn't feel great for a couple of days but thankfully my arm has finally stopped aching. I have had a week of aches and pains but that is only because I am moving around more and being more active which is of course a good thing.

Now for a photo every day.

Vaccine card
Negative covid tests and blue sky
Sausage casserole and blossom
Sheep in a field
The Leg Master in it's box

93/365 - 3rd April
I had my Covid vaccine and got one of the cards. All of my family have now had the vaccine and I feel like I can breath a sigh of relief. I didn't feel great on Saturday night or Sunday. Aching and feeling hot and cold but that was as bad as it got.

94/365 - 4th April
Two more negative lateral flow tests for the kids. They are quite used to doing them now and it does give us peace of mind.

95/365 - 5th April
Pretty blue sky but it was so cold on Monday. So cold that we had a few flurries of snow. It really was one of those days where were had all the seasons in one day.

96/365 - 6th April
Sausage casserole. I was going to cook it in the slow cooker but left it too late so did it in the oven.

97/365 - 7th April
We went to my dad's and on the way I was looking at all the trees. They are so pretty at this time of year.

98/365 - 8th April
Sheeps. hehehe We always stop and look in the same field at the sheep and lambs.

99/365 - 9th April
I had an exciting delivery yesterday. The Leg Master Total Body. A piece of exercise equipment which promises a full body workout in less than 60 seconds. I am reviewing it and there will be a blog post about it next week.

This week my Word of the Week is: Aching! #WotW

This week my Word of the Week is:

Aching

I seem to have been aching all week for various reasons. All the aches have been worth it though or they will be in the long run.

On Saturday I had my Covid vaccine. I was the last of my family to get it and the aches I felt on Saturday night and the ache in my arm since are worth it if it means I am that bit safer. The ache in my arm has just about gone but it is still sore to touch.

I did think I was hallucinating a couple of times this week. I saw an Easter Bunny walk past my house on Monday. I made the kids look to make sure I wasn't going mad. lol I read on the local Facebook groups that it was someone just being nice handing out Easter eggs to kids. Then on Tuesday I was in the kitchen and glanced out of the window and saw snow. The sun was shining and it almost looked like a summers day apart from the snow falling. I shouted Ellie to look just to prove I wasn't going mad. lol It was indeed snowing, it didn't last long but it seemed crazy considering the sky was so blue and the sun so bright.

We went and visited my dad on Wednesday and of course he had us helping out with a few jobs. I was moving bricks and managed to drop one on my finger. Right on the end, on the nail. That was on Wednesday and it's still aching now. I haven't broken anything it's just sore. With moving the bricks my back was aching but nothing a soak in the bath didn't fix.

Yesterday my aching was caused by bike riding. It seems ages since we last went on a long ride and my legs are telling me now that it might be a long while before I go out again. Ellie had a cycle route of about 40 miles planned. I don't know who she thinks I am because I am certainly not a long distance cyclist. lol

Today is going to be a day of rest. I think my aching bones need it. I have pushed myself this week and as much as I am aching I do feel better for moving about and doing more than I have done over the last few months. This might actually be the start of me getting fit and losing that lockdown weight. Becky's girlfriend is coming for a visit in the garden and I have told her to wrap up well as it has been so chilly this week. I do have blankets if it gets too cold for them but I think no matter what the weather they will just be happy to see each other again.
