There is some of my garden that I haven't got around to weeding and sorting out. I am tempted to leave it as it is and see what else grows because these purple flowers are new and I didn't plant them.

They're a form of orchid I think. Like you I'd also be tempted to leave alone. If you have space, every garden should have a wild patch and these are a lovely colour. Aside from anything else, it attracts bees.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite spring flowers!
ReplyDeleteI have a few of those in my garden too (and I don't remember planting them).
ReplyDeleteI don't get pleasant surprises like your pretty purple flowers - just weeds! #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteI've quite a few of these in the garden and be careful as they can take over, but they'll die back soon, so I'd leave them for a while and you'll never be able to dig all the bulbs up from them anyway #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteI don't know what they are, but they are so pretty. I would certainly leave them. I'm thinking of planting some wildflower seeds in my garden, just to see if they grow as nothing else seems to. x
ReplyDeleteThese are grape hyacinths, they grow from bulbs. They spread quite easily and I have let mine grow wherever they end up. Just cut the flowers off when they die but leave the greenery to strengthen the bulbs and they'll come back again next year :o)

You and Jayne have the same flowers in your gardens! What a lovely photo and what gorgeous colour. #MMBC
ReplyDeleteI love them, I'd keep them in the garden. I think they spread quite easily.
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up to #MySundayPhoto
I was told a couple of years ago that these are grape hyacinths. I really like them. I've got them in my garden too and I see to have more than ever this year! There are other things I'm desperate to get rid of, but they are hard to stay on top of.
ReplyDeleteWow look at those precious purple blooms! Thanks so much for sharing and for linking up with #MySundaySnapshot.
