Recently I was asked if I would like to review some Wyld Wood Cider.....I jumped at the chance of course....I do like a glass of cider.
Wyld Wood was formerly known as Premium Organic and was re-branded back in
September 2011 to emphasise its organic and rural origin.....
This cider is produced in Herefordshire’s organic orchards using organic cider apples and which are matured in old oak
vats which results in an easy to drink cider with a ripe apple aroma
and a refreshing well balanced taste. Suitable for vegetarians, vegans
and coeliacs.
I was keen to give this a try.....I chilled it in the fridge for a few hours and once the kids had gone to bed I cracked a bottle open!! It looked like normal cider and smelt so strongly of apples....It is a dry cider but there is also a sweetness there too.....Absolutely delicious and so refreshing!
The sparkling cider comes in traditional 500 ml bottles and also in a 3 liter box which is very handy....I think the boxes would be perfect to have at BBQ's on a lovely summer evening.....
At
6% it is slightly stronger then other brands of cider and as it's so
easy to drink I suggest you keep an eye on how much you are
drinking.....I am not speaking from personal experience by the way.....hehehe
I know when Stu & I have drunk all the cider we were sent we will be buying more....
If you’re feeling really Wyld, you can even cook with their cider.....A delicious and great addition to any meal!
Wyld
Wood is available nationwide and you are able to buy it in a variety of
supermarkets and indendent stores across the country, including
Waitrose, Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsburys. Or of course, you are able to
order all the range from the comfort of your
own home at their online shop....
Wyld Wood is official cider of Jamie Oliver and Alex James’ Big Feastival....
The festival for the second year running is a unique celebration of music, food and fun for all the family, set on Alex James idyllic Cotswolds farm......The Wyld Wood Cider Bar is located within a cool tepee which will once again be centrally located....
You can enjoy music from top acts, see top chef demos in the Big Kitchen and try lots of tasty food....Browse local producer stands, join a cookery class or join top chefs for intimate Q&A sessions. You can keep little and big kids happy in the fun-filled Little Dudes Den, join an arts & crafts workshop, enjoy the Big Top games or take a spin round the vintage funfair.....
It all starts on Friday the 29th of August and carries on all over the weekend closing on the evening of Sunday the 31st of August.....
I was sent 4, 3 liter boxes and 8, 500ml bottles of Wyld Wood Cider free of charge....This is my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.....
Sounds lovely
ReplyDeleteIt is :)
DeleteCider comes in boxes! Ooh this is dangerous to know! :) Sounds like a lovely brand. #triedtested
ReplyDeleteI know.....I thought it was just wine which came in boxes.....hehehe
DeleteI haven't had cider for years, but you are tempting me!
ReplyDeleteOh I love cider, not tried this one and I'd have loved to have gone to the Big Festival.
ReplyDeleteI don't drink cider as such, but do love cooking with it, like pork chops in pork sauce, or chicken poached in cider and cream, so tasty.
