Baked Bean Curry!

A couple of weeks ago while doing our meal planning I came across a recipe for Baked Bean Curry on Netmums....I decided to change it around a bit and came up with a delicious filling meal....

 Ingredients:

I mostly just guessed with the amounts....

2 Tins of baked beans.
A hand full of Cherry tomatoes.
A couple of handfuls of mushrooms.
A handful of sliced peppers (frozen)
A couple of handfuls of chopped onions.
A large spoonful of Garlic powder.
A few sprinkles of paprika.
A sprinkle or mild curry powder...

I fried the onions, peppers and mushrooms until they were soft along with the paprika, curry powder and galic.....I added the tomatoes....Gave it a good mix and left to cook for a few minutes....I then added the tins of beans and left it a few minutes more.....

I served it with rice.....It isn't very pretty to look at but it tastes so good.....It only took about 15/20 minutes to cook..... Basically the length of time it took for the rice to cook.

The girls loved it and wolfed it down.....We will be having it again!

  2. I love family food like this, that's thrown together but tastes great and gets a few of our five a day in the kids. This is a great idea!
