A photo every day for a year! 29th June - 5th July! Week 27 of #Project365

What a week I have had. I feel like it has been non-stop. I always knew this week would be busy with Becky and Stu having some time off work, spending time as a family and the girls off doing their own things. Yesterday we headed off to a nearby country show and had a great time, there will be a blog post about that sometime soon.

Today I am looking forward to a day of not doing much. I did all the housework on Friday knowing we were out yesterday, I even emptied the dirty washing basked and got all that washed, dried and not put away! Of course it's still all sat on the dining room table, that is a job for tomorrow because today I am planning on doing as little as possible.

Now for a photo everyday!

A poppy
My youngest with a fan and myself taking a photo in a big mirror
A grey sky and Turkey Dinosaurs
Hoverfly and monster truck

180/365 - 29th June
A poppy appeared in my garden, the next day there was three and then they were gone. I am blaming the wind and rain that we had.

181/365 - 30th June
Ellie bought a fan, the old fashioned kind a couple of weeks ago and it goes everywhere with her. Not only does she look fancy, she also keeps cool. Wasn't it a scorcher on Monday!!

182/365 - 1st July
I was out again, I stopped off at Wetherspoons for breakfast, pancakes of course! Then I went to watch the girls playing pool.

183/365 - 2nd July
Ahh! Grey clouds and rain and it was so welcomed. I woke up in the early hours of the morning feeling chilly and reaching for the duvet! It was lovely to feel cold! It rained off and on for most of the day but by tea time the sun was back out and it warmed up a little. It still wasn't as warm as it had been though.

184/365 - 3rd July
Turkey dinosaurs! It turns out my girls wanted a bit of their childhood back. It didn't stop there though, they had homemade chips and spaghetti hoops. I mentioned it to my dad and he laughed and asked if they were 6 year olds. lol Such a childish meal but they loved it!

185/365 - 4th July
Just a hoverfly on a flower. I did almost not take the photo as when I was taking photos of my flowers it flew over and I nearly went running as I thought it was a wasp. Eek!

186/365 - 5th July
We went to a nearby country show and saw many interesting things but the Monster Trucks were my favourites. We had such a fun day!

  1. Nice photos! I like that you captured the bee and the flower. I got a picture this week in my garden of bee getting pollen out of a vegetable plant flower. I also have bees near flowers that are very near my garden hose that I've had to use every day. I hope I don't get stung! Anyway, back to your photos- your selfie is so cute as is that fan. Smart and stylish girl for sure!

  2. Love cornflowers, I've got a patch of them in our garden. Sounds like it was a good week. I love a childhood meal - hoops, fish fingers and potato waffles it would be for me.

  5. A busy but lovely week! The poppy looks so vibrant. The dinosaurs made me smile, who doesn't want to be a six-year-old again once in a while?! Ellie looks very glamorous with her fan. And it was such a scorchio. Lovely selfie! Glad you enjoyed the Country show and the monster trucks.

  8. I love poppies. Yours was pretty while it lasted. They make me think of my English garden which had a lot of poppies of various color. Enjoy your week!

  9. Sometimes you just need a good old nostalgic childhood tea! I often fancy a plate of nuggets and chips with a side of beans.
The red poppy is lovely, I had some yellow ones appear a few years ago but haven't had any this year. They are very delicate so a little wind and they vanish.
The monster trucks are brilliant aren't they but very very loud.

  10. These are fabulous photos! I love your daughter's fan. We've had some heavy rains that have really brutalized my flowers this year-- I feel like I no sooner see a pretty bloom in the garden then the rains wash in and beat all the petals off.

  11. Sounds like you’ve had a lovely week enjoying some family time and hopefully you had a relaxing day of not doing very much to recover from it. What a pretty poppy. Shame they were only in your garden very briefly. Ellie’s fan is pretty. I do love old-fashioned fans and they’re great for the warm weather. How nice to have turkey dinosaurs, spaghetti hoops and chips. I quite like a childish dinner once in while! Sounds like you had a fun day out at the country show. #project365

  12. Lol, I love the dinosaurs!! We have some dino chicken nuggets that look just like those and my kids still love them even though they're probably "too old" for them. I don't think you're ever too old for dino nuggets, though. ;o)

  13. Sounds like a lovely week with the girls. Love the fan, I've got a slightly smaller one in my bag. The poppy is so pretty I hope the sudden rain storms don't knock the petals off like happened to ours.
