The first week in July always seems to be a fun one for us when it comes to food. We ate out at the pub, I had breakfast out and of course we were at the country show over the weekend where we had all the yummy food! Pulled pork baps, pizza, burgers in buns, dinky doughnuts, candy floss, ice cream and crepes!
Last weeks meal plan went well. We ate everything but of course swapped a couple of meals around. On Thursday when Stu and I had the Spam fritters the girls decided they wanted Turkey Dinosaurs along with the home made chips and Spaghetti Hoops! Such a childish meal but they loved it!
This week I don't think I have much on. Becky is back at work which feels like a right shame, I love having her home but she has to earn those pennies. I don't have a clue what Ellie is doing, I am sure she'll let me know, probably when she wants some money. lol She is looking for a job but it's hard when she's not yet 18, next month she will have more opportunities! Today is going to be about playing catch on the jobs that I didn't do over the weekend.
On the menu this week we have:
Monday - I am not 100% sure yet. I am thinking something out of the freezer with mashed potato.
Tuesday - Chinese chicken curry with egg fried rice.
Wednesday - Home made carrot & coriander soup with mango chutney twists.
Thursday - Home made Pork and apple burgers in buns with salad.
Friday - Scampi, chips and peas.
Saturday - Lasagne and garlic bread.
Sunday - I am going to cook a full on roast dinner. Chicken, stuffing, carrots, parsnips, mash, peas, cabbage, Yorkshire puddings and of course a lot of gravy.
What are you eating this week?
Your meal plan sounds good! I was telling Alyssa yesterday that she needs to help me come up with a plan today and she said that she would help me. So I'm punting until I can get some help from her :).
ReplyDeleteAlways so happy to read your meal plans, it gives me such inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThe carrot and coriander soup and pork and apple burgers both sound so yummy!
ReplyDeleteJill - Doused in Pink
It sounds like you've had a busy few days and lots of yummy food. It's been ages since I had candy floss.
ReplyDeleteI love your meal plan this week.
My two like those turkey dinosaurs, but I love the turkey drummers! They are so good with cheesy beans hehe.
I still meal plan every week, I just haven't posted it for a while. I need to get back to it. x
The Chinese Chicken Curry sounds good! I will be coming back for that one, I love that it has potatoes as one of the ingredients. Summer can and does have many of those days that seem to go no where, but maybe we just need a break, Thanks for the visit! Visiting from #MMBC!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what I will eat this week. I play it by ear (or stomach). It's just me and I am still dieting, so it all depends. I enjoyed reading your menu, though! Wish I was close enough to knock on your door and invite myself to join you!! Have a good week ahead!!
