Parcelgenie - Review!!

Parcelgenie is the world's first instant gift messaging app which lets you send real gifts to friends and family all through an App on your phone mobile phone!! I only got a smart phone a earlier this year so things are all new to me...

The gifts you can send range in price from £1.99 all the way to £8.49 and include sweets, good luck charms, coffee, chocolate bars, poker sets, odd socks, truffles, face masks, keyrings, toy planes and now selection boxes!! The chances are you’ll be able to find something suitable for anyone.....

The app is available for iPhones, Android and Windows Phones....

Once you’ve found the perfect gift you simply select it and enter your friend's mobile number.....You can also enter a message to accompany the gift to make it even more personal....

The App accepts credit and debit cards as well as PayPal to pay for your gift....

After everything has been processed by Parcelgenie your friend instantly receives two text messages. One from you with your message and one from Parcelgenie asking for a delivery address for their gift....It is up to your friend to send their address....It is a free to reply to the text message....

The good thing about this service is you don't even need to know a persons address to send them a special gift....It may seem strange having someones phone number but not their address but it does happen.....I know people online.....Have their numbers but not their address...

Parcelgenie will then gift wrap the present and send it off to your friend.....

The service uses Royal Mail’s First Class delivery and I ordered my gift at around 2pm Tuesday and it arrived Wednesday with the postman who popped it straight through the letterbox instead of having to knock at the door......

The gift was beautifully packaged and you can see that a lot of thought went into it....

I got the Owl-Trageous gift which included two very cute chocolate owls and an owl keyring....

The whole process was fun, quick and simple....Most importantly to me it was affordable which means I can send gifts to my friends for any reason.... Birthdays, Christmas or just to brighten up their day!!

This app has been very well thought out.....The only thing I found was that most the gifts I think are aimed at women.....A few more gifts aimed specifically for men would make this service even better....

I can definitely see myself using this app again....I think it will come in very useful.....I have a few Facebook friends where I only know their mobile number who may be in for a treat soon....I can't believe it's took me this long for me to find out about this app.....

I won a £5 voucher to spend on the App on Twitter......This had no impact on my review.....All thoughts and opinions are my own...

  12. It is a fantastic way to send gifts. I wonder if I would think it was a hoax if I received a text asking for my address? If I was sending a gift I would also text the recipient myself to let them know it was genuine.
