At 5am on Saturday morning the girls were caught playing on their tablets in their bedroom.....Firstly the tablets are not allowed upstairs and secondly 5am on a Saturday morning is no time to be up.....
They spend the rest of the day serving a ban.....Playing together nicely with no arguments or fighting....It was absolute bliss....I'm thinking of banning tablets every Saturday....hehehe

Good for you! And I'm glad they served their ban gracefully xx
ReplyDeleteThank you! They had a great day x
DeleteIt's funny how much fun kids can discover if their tablets are taken away - ours are exactly the same. Suddenly all the old toys and games get dusted off ...
ReplyDeleteYou are so right....They played with things they hadn't played with for months x
DeleteLovely to see them playing so happily together - 5am on a Saturday morning is definitely not a good time for being up and playing on tablets!
ReplyDeleteNo! 5am is just too early....lol
DeleteThank you!
'Back to basics' some may say with toys, imagination and a bit of sticky tape!~
ReplyDeleteI think it's lovely they still play so nicely together just being 'kids'
Thank you!
DeleteI'm glad the ban had such a positive effect! Have to say, it's often the same way in our house. Amazing how nicely they can play together when they can't disappear with their tablets!
ReplyDeleteThey didn't argue or complain once....It was such a lovely day x
DeleteAaah look at them. Banning tables every Saturdays it is then haha. xx
ReplyDeletehehehe....I may have to.
DeleteSo refreshing to see some old fashioned play
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteWhy do people not realise how amazing a lie in is? 5am is way too early! good result from the tablet ban!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm sure they will realise it when they are older...hehehe
DeleteWow, I can't believe they were up at 5am! My kids are rarely up before 8am at weekends. A ban on tablets is always a good idea!
ReplyDeleteThey are just silly at the weekend! lol
DeleteThank you!
I'm glad to see that it's having a positive effect. Charlie is currently on a ban too!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHow lovely! Reminds me of my childhood... long before tablets were invented! It's funny how children will happily turn to whatever is there to play with, isn't it - whereas adults tend to be a bit lost without our tech these days!
ReplyDeleteSo very true....Thank you!
DeleteLooks like are enjoying playing with their toys, I think technology take over all of us at some point :):)
ReplyDeleteIt sure does....A day without technology did them the world of good x
DeleteI often ban the tablets just so the children have to use their imaginations a bit more lol
ReplyDeleteIt's good for them....hehehe
DeleteSounds like my girls, tablets have been banned at weekends now

DeleteLooks like they are really engrossed in what they are playing, 5am is too early to be up!!
ReplyDeleteThey had a fab time! Thank you!
DeleteGood for you! Tablets etc are the bane of my life! Lovely to see your girls playing so happily with their toys x
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteIt's good to reconnect and rediscover. Great plan Kim!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI'm glad they took the news of the ban well. 5am though-what where they thinking? ;-) I sometimes wish we could ban tablets/screens permanently in our house. It is lovely to see them playing so nicely together.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's a shame they can't be so eager to get up on a school morning. lol
DeleteI think it's a great idea Kim, lovely photo x
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI find that without technology my children get on far better and play really nicely!
ReplyDeleteThey do don't they! Thank you!
DeleteWow, that is early! Well done of your ban victory. Looks like they are making the most of their screen free time
ReplyDeleteThank you! They really had a great time x
DeleteOooh what are they playing with, it looks fun? It's lovely watching children engrossed at play!
ReplyDeleteA little bit of everything....lol Lottie Dolls, Frozen toys and random things. Thank you!
DeleteLovely pic ... they don't seem like they're missing their tablets too. They probably won't miss it if you go for a longer Saturday ban. They look so alike :-) #CommentLuv
ReplyDeleteThey didn't miss them at all...Thank you!
DeleteHow lovely. This picture is defiantly a keeper. Playing is much better and more fun, than just sitting down and watching TV.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteWell done you. We don't have the iPad upstairs. I don't agree with letting them take them to bed. Ethan does have his as soon as he is up, but it's his thing x
ReplyDeleteI have the same rule....No tablets or phones upstairs. They do like to push their luck..
DeleteLook at that! Looks so peaceful haha! I agree no tablet on Saturday might be nice! #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteIt was such a lovely day...No arguments and lots of giggles.
DeleteSometimes it is.good.to have a ban.and think outside the envelope X
ReplyDeleteIt is :D
DeleteGood old fashioned play! Sometimes it pays to scrap the technology just for a while doesn't it!.
ReplyDeleteThey look like they are having fun :)
The had a lot of fun! Thank you!
DeleteSo sweet that they were playing together so nicely and peacefully without technology ♥
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteGood for you Mama! I am dreading the time when my E&E are old enough to understand why playing tablets for not good for them. Ethan is already glue to it and it is really hard habit to break. But I will carrying on trying.
