(Ad - Gifted) Valentine's Day food and drink gift ideas.

It's February which means Valentine's Day is coming up. I know some people don't like the day but I do. Over the years I have noticed there is more and more companies and brands doing limited edition Valentine's Day food and drinks and I am all for it. They say the way to someones heart is through their stomach after all.

Here are some of the best that I have seen:

*Nim’s Valentines Apple Crisps.

By popular demand Nim’s has launched a limited edition, crimson coloured Red Love Apple crisps for Valentine's day. These award winning apple crisps are Valentine’s red all the way through to the centre and have a mouth wateringly rich apple aroma. Made using red flesh Apples, they are a light snack that is healthy, delicious and nutritious.

My teen and I wolfed these down and really enjoyed them. They are something different from usual crisps and are obviously healthier too.

The 20g packs cost just £1 and will be available exclusively in over 1400 Tesco stores across the UK. You can buy a Valentine's box via their website if you want something extra special including Red Love Apple Crisps for two and a personalised message.

Baileys Red Velvet Cupcake.

The most indulgent and delicious flavour yet. The perfect blend of light, fluffy red velvet cupcakes folded into mouth watering Baileys Original Irish cream. This delightfully indulgent treat is best enjoyed straight from the fridge, poured over ice or ice-cream. Now you really can have your cake & drink it. This is available from most supermarkets at around £17.99 a bottle.

*OGGS 2 Pack Chocolate Fudge Cakes.

The OGGs chocolate fudge two pack makes for the perfect treat for couples or even friends. These fantastically fudgy delights are as ethical as they are scrumptious, melting in the mouth with every bite while being completely egg and dairy free. Better still, like all of the OGGS range, these treats are baked using Aquafaba; an all-plant liquid egg substitute made from chickpea water making them vegan friendly!

I was sent some to try out and they are really good. I tested them on the kids and they didn't realise that they were even egg and dairy free. They were shocked to realise that something which tasted so good was plant based. I was slightly surprised too. They were a lovely treat.

Two cakes are better than one so why not make yours a double and spread some love this Valentine’s day. You can buy these from Sainsbury's or Waitrose.

Personalised Valentines Love Hearts.

Personalised Love Hearts are an original and fun way to spell out your love this Valentine’s day. Create your own romantic message and Swizzles will print them onto Love Hearts rolls and send them to your loved ones. These rolls come ready wrapped with your message so can be sent directly to your Valentine, just add their address in the delivery details.

*Guylian Praline Hearts.

These Guylian Praline Hearts in their eye catching red box contains Belgian chocolate hearts, marbled and filled with delicious roasted hazelnut praline. The 42g box (£1.00), contains four praline filled hearts is the ideal love token, whilst the 105g heart shaped box (£4.00) makes an even more impressive Valentine’s Day gift.

Guylian’s Valentine’s Day chocolates are available from selected supermarkets, high street retailers nationwide and via Guylian’s web shop.

I was sent the products marked with a * free of charge to include in this blog post.

  1. Those apple crisps sound nice. Plus they are healthy too! I saw an advert for the Red Velvet Baileys but I’m not sure if it might be a bit sickly. Have you given it a try?

I've not tried the Baileys but have read about people trying it. Some loved it and some said it was too sickly sweet. x
