Week 46 of #Project365 10th - 16th November! A photo every day for a year!

Happy Sunday! I hope you are enjoying a nice, relaxed day! I have no plans at all apart from trying to stay away from Stu. He is just getting over a cold and so far I have avoided it! This would be the worst time for me to catch one with it being my birthday in a few days. I have plans and really don't want to be poorly.

We've had a good week, we've not really been up to much, just the usual. Stu got a letter from work which made us chuckle. They are cracking down an absences and it reminded me of the one's the girls used to get from school being all passive aggressive. Anyway, the gist of it was that the company are sick of people phoning in sick when they're not really sick. It is funny how people that Stu works with always seem to get ill over the weekend, after they've planned a night out or when they've been refused holidays. Stu has taken 4 sick days in the last 3 years so it doesn't really apply to him but with the festive season coming up they are expecting more people to phone in sick. They've said warnings will be given. Eek!

Now for a photo every day!

Pj's and bags of shopping
Shopping bag and empty bed
Advent calendar and birthday card
Uber Eats

315/365 - 10th November
Pj's all day! It was Sunday after all! We had a lazy day.

316/365 - 11th November
I did a little more Christmas shopping. I got Becky some fab fleecy Friends pj's from Primark which I hadn't seen before.

317/365 - 12th November
I love the new bags in Primark, I hate using the paper one's, they always seem to rip on me and this one with a zip on is great for storing Christmas presents away.

318/365 - 13th November
Stu's side of the bed was empty! He went and slept in Becky's bed while she was on a night shift so he wasn't breathing his germs onto me. It felt so strange sleeping alone.

319/365 - 14th November
Our advent calendars are all ready!

320/365 - 15th November
An early birthday card arrived. Jayne knows me so well. lol

321/365 - 16th November
Becky dropped into conversation that she got KFC delivered to work during the week with Uber Eats! I did not know they delivered here! This could be dangerous! I must resist KFC, Subway, Greggs, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. I didn't even know we had a Taco Bell in Scunthorpe. lol

  1. Haha, love your slippers and PJ shot! That has been me all day today.
Hope Stu is feeling better, colds are doing the rounds again urghh! I did laugh at his work letter. I bet there are loads who pull a sicky to get time off over Christmas.
As soon as I spotted that card I knew it was made solely for you! I might fit the bill as well though lol. Hope you have the best day. xxx

  2. We can't get any deliveries out here, which is probably a good thing. I need to up my Christmas buying. I've got a few bits, but still 3 main presents to get, plus fingers crossed for N's choice to be in Black Friday sale

  3. I hope Stu is feeling better. I have issue with the ones who come into work ill, spreading their colds/covid around the office. I think most in the office have had a cold or covid in the past couple of months.

  4. My husband, as a boss, has noticed this same tendency for people calling in sick (usually) on Mondays or after holidays/parties that they loudly talked about at work beforehand. So sad they have to send out a company wide letter to address this problem. I hope Stu's feeling better soon and you manage to stay nice and healthy.

  5. Workplaces and schools seem to be going hard on the whole sickness and absense thing at the moment. People can't help being ill they are not robots, it makes me very frustrated. It sounds like you've had a good week, love the PJ and slippers photo that's my kind of Sunday.

  6. I can understand Stu’s company cracking down on absences – it’s frustrating when people call in sick when they’re not really sick and unfair on those who do come in unless they are actually ill. Lovely to have a PJ day. I like the zip up shopping bag – definitely good for storing Christmas presents. Ooh having KFC delivery is definitely dangerous! #project365

  7. I hate emails like the one Stu got, why can't they just target the people who are calling in sick all the time? It's lazy and not fair on everyone else. Uber eats is so expensive, the restaurants charge so much more for their food. I've got everyone's advent calendars ready, no one ever buys me one, despite the number of hints I drop all year.
