I have had a week with some ups and downs, it hasn't been perfect but at the same time it could have been worse. Real life isn't amazing all of the time and I need to remember that! I still have a few favourites to share though and of course I am linking up with Erika and Andrea.
Christmas movies!!
It's November so acceptable to watch Christmas movies and I started on Friday with The Nightmare Before Christmas and have since watched Love Actually, The Christmas Chronicles 1 & 2, Home Alone and Elf! My thinking is that if I watch all the best one's now I will be ready to watch them all again in the week or so before Christmas. hehehe Next week I am going to start on the cheesy one's off Netflix, the likes of A Christmas Prince and Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square!
Fast delivery from Shein!
I wasn't expecting my order from Shein until at least today but it arrived on Monday!! The box was huge, rammed full but everything arrived and the girls are happy with everything that they ordered although they are not too happy that everything has been put away for Christmas! Now I just have to wrap it all! Wrapping paper is top of my list to buy over the next few days.
Fireworks are over!
It was Bonfire Night on Tuesday which meant for the week before there was fireworks going off as soon as it started to get dark. Ugh! I am not a fan of fireworks and I've never really liked them, an organised display is not so bad but it's the random one's that teenagers in the park set off which scare me! There's been none for the last couple of nights so hopefully that is it, well until New Years Eve.
Fries to Go!
I love these little boxes of fries. They come from the freezer, take two minutes in the microwave and taste just like the one's from McDonalds! They are very handy when I can't be bothered to faff around waiting for one's to cook in the oven or air fryer.
We all went to the pub for a Sunday lunch and I chose the carvery option, there was roast lamb which is my favourite and something I never cook at home so it felt like a real treat. I was stuffed until I saw them bringing out a huge chocolate fudge cake!! I suddenly found room in my tummy for a slice with cream! It was so good and I love that it's cooked by one of the chef's in the pub!
My eldest coming home!
Becky has been away for a few days, her and her girlfriend went for a city break up to the Newcastle and from what I hear they've had a great time. They did some Christmas shopping and of course had a couple of nights out. They have said this will be the last break away that they have this year but we'll see.
What have you loved over the last week?
Now I’m hungry. Ready to watch Christmas movies too. Have a beautiful day.

It sounds like a great week! That fudge cake made my mouth water when I saw the picture. I'm glad that your daughter is home safe and sound! I always feel a little on edge knowing mine are out of town. I have a son traveling to see my son in Dallas tomorrow and he'll be there all week; I'll be glad to know he's arrived there safely! It feels good to catch up with you here! Enjoy your weekend, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThose fries sound incredible! I haven't seen anything like that over here.
ReplyDeleteI would have made room for that cake too! I didn't know there is a Dolly Parton Chritmas movie I will have to have a look as I love her. I hope next week is more up than down for you x
ReplyDeleteOh that fudge cake looks amazing! I like organized fireworks displays but while the local (and in our state illegal!) home ones don't really scare me I do worry about fires and mishaps.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, November is totally acceptable for Christmas movies! I've already watched Serendipity three times this month! Haha. We need to start watching all the others with the kids soon, too!
