A photo every day for a year! 2nd - 8th March! Week 10 of #Project365

I hope you have all had a good week! I have had a great one, the sun has been shining, the days getting longer, feeling warmer and I am feeling bright and motivated! Well, I was until Friday when I woke up feeling rotten. Becky caught a cold during the week, we're guessing from work and kindly shared it with me. Friday I was achy and feeling run down but yesterday I woke up feeling better until my nose caught up and it's been either running like a tap or blocked up all day. Ugh! At least the cough that I had all week is starting to ease off. I put that down to hay fever but I am guessing not.

Stu and I did have plans today but I don't know if they will happen with me not feeling great. I am rather annoyed as it's not very often that we get a Sunday to ourselves. The girls are out doing their own thing and Stu and I had planned an afternoon out too. Hmmf.

Now for a photo every day!

Football on the TV and yellow and blue ribbons
A weeded flower bed
Soup base and morning sky
A blurry moon and cold remidies

61/365 - 2nd March
Football on the TV. Newcastle were playing Brighton in the FA Cup, Newcastle lost after a tense finish to the match when they scored in the first lot of extra time but the goal was disallowed. Brighton went on to get the winning goal. Hmmf. Not to worry, they are in the final of the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool this time next week! Eek!

62/365 - 3rd March
On the way to my dad's I noticed these ribbons tied to lamp posts and street signs. I have seen them closer to town before but not all the way up near my dad's before.

63/365 - 4th March
I spent a few hours in the garden having a tidy up and doing some weeding. It was such a day so it was a pleasure to spend that time in the garden, I even ended up taking my jumper off as it was so warm. It felt like t-shirt weather!

64/365 - 5th March
The start of the carrot and coriander soup. It was delicious and one of our all time favourite soups from the Gousto recipe boxes! The recipe is supposed to serve 4 people but there's always about 3 portions left over. One for Stu for lunch the next day and the other two portions got put into tubs and put in the freezer.

65/365 - 6th March
I was outside standing in the garden enjoying my morning cup of tea. The clouds soon cleared and it turned into a gorgeous day! One of the warmest of the year so far.

66/365 - 7th March
I tried to take a picture of the moon, it looked so cool partly hidden behind the clouds. You will have to imagine an amazing photo because this is not it!

67/365 - 8th March
Yesterday I dosed myself up on cold and flu tablets and cough medicine. I can cope with the blocked/snotty nose now that I have stopped aching.

  1. Oh no, I hope you feel better soon. I've had the boys ill for over a week. Joben has had it really bad and I'm all achy and sniffly today. It needs to do one, urghh!
The weather has been much better. I always feel more motivated when the sun is out. xx

  2. Sorry to hear you don't feel any better today, it's a shame about your plans but really important to rest.
It sounds like you had a nice bright week before the lurgy got you.
I can't take good pics of the moon it always ends up looking like a blurry blob.
Hope you feel better soon x

  3. Oh, poor you, hope you get better soon. It's been such a warm week, we also spent a lot of time in the garden. Your garden looks super tidy and ready for the new planting season. Taking photos of the Moon is always tricky, can't do them with my iphone at all. With the "proper" camera, in the dusk, the pics turn out to be better than in total darkness, as then it's just a shiny blob.
The soup sounds tasty, I made some leftover veg soup last week, and this week need to tackle beetroot, as it's the last veg from the veg box that nobody except me likes.

  4. It has been lovely weather to garden in. I've been busy preparing too. Sorry you're feeling grotty. Hope you're over it now. The moon was particularly beautiful this week. I managed to take a quick photo on my phone, through the telescope.

  5. How lovely to see the Ukrainian colours. There is as much need for support now as it was in March 2022.
It's nice to be able to spend more time in the garden. I've been doing some weeding and I've painted the raised beds too.

  7. Glad you had a week of feeling bright and motivated – at least until you came down with a cold at the end of the week. Hope you are feeling better now. Lovely to get out in the garden and make the most of the nice weather. It’s difficult to take good photos of the Moon. I can imagine what it looked like in reality though! #project365
