Our weekly meal plan! 3rd - 9th March! #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

I hope you all had a good weekend? We had a lovely one, I pottered around the house on Saturday and Stu and I got some jobs done in the garden yesterday! It has been nice to see some sunshine and the warmer weather has been lovely! It feels like spring is on it's way!

Last weeks meal plan went well. The baked fish fingers were a favourite of ours and I will be making them again. I did them in the air fryer instead of the oven and they came out perfectly! I like that Gousto give me the instructions and then I can just change them to suit us. We of course swapped a couple of meals around, we always seem to but everything was eaten!

This week I don't have much on, I don't have any plans at all and that is how I like it. I have plenty of things to do around the house to keep me busy. I am excited for our meals this week, especially the pancakes tomorrow! I do love Shrove Tuesday, it is such a treat day!

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Gousto meal - One-Pot Baked Mushroom Stroganoff Tortiglioni. A few months ago we wouldn't have been able to have this but now Ellie likes mushrooms it's something we're looking forward to.
Tuesday - Pancakes!! It's pancake day so we will be having those for tea. Probably just sweet one's with toppings like lemon juice, sugar, golden syrup, Biscoff and chocolate spread.
Wednesday - Gousto meal - Carrot & Coriander Soup With Chutney Twists. We've had this a few times in the past and I've even made it without getting a Gousto box.
Thursday - Gousto meal - Five-Spice Chicken, Peppers & Chips With Curry Sauce. This is a new recipe to us which Ellie and Stu chose.
Friday - Chip shop! We're treating ourselves.
Saturday - Gousto meal - Pork Belly Hog Roast, Apple Sauce & Stuffing.
Sunday - A roast dinner of some sort.

What are you eating this week?

  1. I like how you know what you're having for dinner (or tea as I think you call it. I love that difference in nomenclature!) each day. I loosely menu plan but I don't write anything out. Your week of little to no plans sounds nice. I hope you have a great Monday!

  2. Pancake Day! I sent my son a photo from a long ago Pancake Day the other day, which resulted in a long discussion why it was not the same date each year. After explaining it all to him, I then said "Do you even know what Lent and Ash Wednesday are?". He replied "I don't but I got the 4th of March part"

  3. Have you ever tried savoury pancakes? I haven't and they don't really appeal but I might give them a try one day, I just need to find the right toppings. Good luck with your week and enjoy your chip shop on Friday.

  4. Happy March, Kim!Your stroganaff recipe reminds me of one of our daughters favorites when they were growing up! I'm taking care of our grandkids tonight (our Littles) and I might just have to make it!

  5. It's fun to see all the various things you plan for the week. That Gusto box seems to give you lots of ideas. #MMBC

  6. I love to have pancakes with sausage for dinner! It’s been so long since we’ve done that so now you’ve given me an idea! I think Mr. Nine will love it!
