A Day Out In Amble...

We had a fabulous day out at the beach yesterday....

We went to Amble....Up on the Northumberland coast....Not the closest beach to us but it is by far the nicest and the cleanest It only takes about 45 minutes on the bus....The girls love it there and so do I!!

When at the beach how could we not have fish and chips....Well sausage and chips for the girls and Beanies & chips for me...They are sausage meat in batter with baked beans in the center! Delicious!! No where else sells them that I know of apart from the best fish and chip shop in Amble....lol

They've really missed a trick in Amble....At the top of the beach there are two unfilled paddling pools....Would of been so nice if they were cleaned up and filled!!

Time for a paddle!!

Then onto the rock pools...

A walk along the pier where it was blowing a gale....So nice and cooling though...

Then we caught the bus home!! Ellie slept most the way home then as soon as we got in Becky laid on the settee to watch Tv and fell asleep....

A fab day but tired us all out...Must be the sea air!

  8. Looks like you had a super day. I have not had a beanie for ages. Our old fish and chip shop used to make them when I was growing up. I guess it will be a trip to Amble for us!

  16. Beautiful photos! We enjoyed the rock pools in Cornwall last week. A summer wouldn't be a summer without a trip to the seaside.
