Danone Danio Yogurt - Review

I was sent some vouchers for Danone Danio Yogurt from BzzAgent  which is great! We all love yoghurts in this house.....

What They say....

Made with twice as much milk as standard yogurts, Danio is strained to give it a super thick texture. The straining process that removes watery whey leaves behind a super thick yogurt that’s high in protein, making Danio a great snack after you exercise...And it’s served on top of a layer of hand-picked fruits like strawberry, blueberry, peach, cherry, raspberry and passion fruit for a low fat or fat-free, high-protein, and delicious snack that can be enjoyed any time of day....

A great source of protein, as each pot is packed with 12g (26% of your GDA), which contributes to the maintenance and growth of muscle mass -- All varieties are either 0% fat or low fat and are great as a snack -- No preservatives or artificial flavours -- Ranges from 125kcal to 159kcal...
They come in 6 flavours Strawberry, Raspberry, Blueberry, Passion Fruit, Cherry & Peach and are 85 pence each!

What I think....

The pots have nice packaging and stood out on the shelf against other yoghurts....

I tried the strawberry yoghurt first and as I peeled back the lid that the "just piped into the pot" pattern on top of the yoghurt was still intact...Very pretty!!

The yoghurt it's self is very thick....So thick I could stand a spoon up in it....It seemed
more like a Fromage Frais than a yoghurt....The flavour and texture of the plain yoghurt is very nice and creamy but quite sickly....The fruit layer also has a good flavour and isn't too sweet or too tart....I like them!!

It didn't taste like a fat free product and the creamy texture makes it feel like you are eating something far more indulgent which could be a nice treat if you are dieting....

I have been eating these for breakfast with a banana and they have really set me up for a day....

As lovely as they are though I don't think I will be buying them in future simply because they are 85 pence each or 3 for £2 in various supermarkets.....I don't know if it's just me but that seems a bit too expensive!!

I was sent the Danone Danio Yogurt vouchers free of charge for being a BzzAgent....This is my honest review....All thoughts and opinions are my own!!
