Leave the house at the normal time not realising that there is so much ice outisde....
Walk like slow, fat penguins trying not to slip on the ice....
Scream "Oh my god" every time you see a frozen puddle....

Stamp on every puddle and break the mentioned ice....
Get that excited you nearly pull your dad enough for him to slip....
Don't walk on the grass that isn't so slippy...Where's the fun in that....
Get your dad to drag you along so you're sliding all over the place....

So stressful!! I hate the ice!! Ellie of course loves it and had a wonderful time walking to school!!
Ah yes, I can imagine that's stressful! Great fun for Ellie, not so much fun for you!
ReplyDeleteShe loved it....lol Me, not so much x
DeleteOur house is up a steep slope so the school 'slide' is a nightmare!! Let's hope it all melts soon!!
ReplyDeleteEek! I think Ellie would love a steep slope to slide down....lol x
DeleteI do too - I always panic and have visions of them breaking an arm! They just love it and think they're ice skating!
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not the only one....
DeleteI envy those who had got snow ... after seeing this maybe not anymore =P #WickedWednesdays
ReplyDeleteWe had now snow....Just ice x
DeleteOur kids are so disappointed our forecast of snow didn't appear. They would be jealous of this,
ReplyDelete#wickedwednesdays
There wasn't much to be jealous of.....We didn't have snow....Just ice! x
DeleteAs long as you had fun sometimes its ok being late ones in a while x
ReplyDeleteTotally! I don't think the teachers would agree though x
DeleteKids are danger magnets aren't they?! Hope you got a cuppa after that school run! #WickedWednesdays
ReplyDeleteThey sure are....She scares the life out of me! lol
DeleteI drive if there's even a hint of frost. Getting too old for the cold ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish we could but neither my fella or I drive....
DeleteOh dear! Hope she managed to avoid slipping over x
ReplyDeleteShe did....Thankfully x
DeleteI hate ice too, totally with you on that! But yes, the children love it and my daughter also wants to break every ice puddle she see's :)
ReplyDeleteIce and snow is a delight for the young and but a worry for us adults. A perfect way to enjoy the journey to school even if she was a little late. Thank you for sharing on Country Kids.
ReplyDeleteOh dear - I am not a fan of the ice either - we've had a few bad days of it. Not long until Spring now! #Countrykids
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of the ice either, I hate the thought of falling over! Kids are so fearless though aren't they, I guess that's the best way to be Zx #countrykids
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I know that feeling - nightmare isn't it
ReplyDeleteHaha very funny post, I remember those walks to school myself. I HATE walking on ice too and thankfully at the moment the Beans prefer to go to school in the car :)
ReplyDeleteEek! Fun school walk but terrifying at the same time!! :D
