Hot chocolate made a few different ways....

This time of year is perfect for drinking hot chocolate....My girls can easily go through a large tub of Tesco's own, the one you just add water too in a week. In fact when they were off school for Christmas I was buying two a week! Eek!

It is such a lovely treat for them to have one when they get in from school with a snack or a couple of biscuits.

When we're out of hot chocolate which sometimes happens we make Nutella Hot Chocolate!

Nutella Hot Chocolate.

You need:
3 tablespoons of Nutella or chocolate spread.
1 and 1/3rd cups of milk.

How to make:
Scoop in the 3 tablespoons of Nutella and add in 1/3rd cup of milk to a saucepan....Stir together until the two ingredients are fully blended....Once blended pour in the last cup of milk and turn the heat up a little...Once heated and mixed pour the drink into to a mug and enjoy!

I know Christmas is over and Bailey's is thought of as a Christmas drink but why not have it all year around. Taming Twins has a fantastic Bailey's Slow cooker hot chocolate recipe....

White Hot Chocolate.

You need:
2 mugs milk
75g White chocolate
1/2 Teaspoon vanilla
Whipping cream to serve

Grate the chocolate and divide into the mugs. Heat the milk in a saucepan until boiling. Once the milk has boiled pour a little into each mug and mix in the chocolate then add a teaspoon of vanilla into each mug and the rest of the milk. Stir all together and top with cream....

I found the Spiced Hot Chocolate recipe on the Tesco website. This light but creamy hot chocolate makes a comforting end to a cold winter evening....

Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate.
In a mug prepare your hot chocolate mix as directed on package. Then stir in 1 or 2 teaspoons peanut butter. So simple!

On the BBC website I found the perfect treat for Ellie. Unicorn hot chocolate!! We made it over the weekend.

We didn't follow the recipe exactly but it was close enough....White chocolate and milk, pink gel food colouring all topped with squirty cream and sprinkles! It was amazing! Best drink ever!

How do you like your hot chocolate?
