What a week. The first half was brilliant, the middle was the worst and the end of it not so bad. The storms we had over the weekend didn't bring the fence down so all the work my fella has done on them did the trick, the longest month ended, we got Ellie's MRI scan results from the routine MRI before she was fitted for a hearing aid. The results weren't what we were expecting, you can read more about it on my Word of the Week post from yesterday. They showed small bleeds on her brain so we're waiting for an appointment with a neurosurgeon, not for surgery (we don't think) just to explain what's going on. I was besides myself with worry but a lot of people said not to, if it was anything serious she wouldn't have been allowed home. I have had a lot of support and kind words over the past couple of days which I am grateful for and I have been trying to keep myself busy waiting to get a date for the appointment.
Now for a photo every day!
Wordle! I am obsessed, I do love the game as the idea is so simple although all the words are not.
30/365 - 30th January
It's the time of year for daffodils. I bought some from the shop and they had just opened.
31/365 - 31st January
I made a pie form the leftovers from the roast dinner and for once I almost got the amount of pastry just right. There was only a tiny ball leftover.
32/365 - 1st February
While hunting for the garlic bread in the freezer I found a box of Profiteroles left over from Christmas. I was tempted to keep them for myself but ended up sharing with the kids.
33/365 - 2nd February
This girl, she does like to keep us on our toes. Not only does she had a dodgy ear, eye and heart she now has a dodgy brain. None of her issues are related at the moment although there is a possibility that her heart, before surgery caused the brain bleeds.
34/365 - 3rd February
Becky was watching This Morning and saw they were making Crumbles so got it into her head she wanted too as well. It took her about 5 hours from deciding to make them to actually getting them out of the oven. lol She made an apple one and a cherry one, they tasted amazing!
35/365 - 4th February
Becky wanted my dad to try her crumbles so we went to visit him to drop it off and then went for a late breakfast.
Beautiful sunny flowers!
ReplyDeleteOoh I love a crumble. Haven't had one for a while though. Hopefully you get some positive answers for Ellie's appointment about her bleeds, and that there's nothing to worry about.
ReplyDeleteI love a good crumble. Sorry to hear about Ellie, really hope her appointment comes through soon to reduce your worry with waiting. I'm hooked on wordle also, it can be so frustrating
ReplyDeleteI’m glad you’ve had lots of support following your appointment to discuss Ellie’s MRI – I can imagine it must be very worrying. Hope you get some answers soon. It’s lovely to see daffodils in the shops again. I love having vases of them around the house. Home-made crumbles are the best, glad Becky's went down well. #project365
ReplyDeleteHope you get the follow up through soon for Ellie. It's lovely to have daffodils in the house again isn't it #365
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you didn't get the news you hoped for from the MRI - hopefully you will get some peace of mind soon
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about Ellie, I hope you have more of an explanation now and that it has made you all feel better and given you peace of mind. Those crumbles sound delicious it has been ages since I made one! Love daffs
ReplyDeleteHow scary with Ellie's medical information. I hope you get quick answers and can relax again soon. My eldest made a crumble in food tech recently, basic cooking skill in my book! #project365
ReplyDeleteI haven't started playing Wordle yet!
ReplyDeleteThat must be a really worry about the bleeds in the brain, hopefully you get your appointment soon to get some explanations.
Ethan loves a crumble, apple mostly. I couldn't make one myself. I think I would have eaten the profiteroles myself. I need to catch up with Ellie's MRI news. I hope she is OK #365
