Our weekly meal plan! 19th - 25th December. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went pretty well considering it's a crazy time of year. We ate some of the meals, some were swapped and some were scrapped. I'm not to fussed, I didn't have high hopes for it. We did enjoy another roast dinner at our local cafe, this time it had sprouts and stuffing which were unexpected extras.

Are we all ready for Christmas? I think we just about are. We have the food shop coming later this week and I will be keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the supermarket delivers everything on my order but I am not going to stress about it. As long as it's not something vital which I can't pick up locally it will be fine. We always have the farm shop and butchers up the road if we get desperate.

Ellie has finished school for Christmas but Stu and Becky will still be working. Poor Becky is working Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day night so it's going to be a strange Christmas for us. We are going to get up early so when she gets in from work she can open some of her presents with us. She is going to take a plate of Christmas dinner to work with her to have on her shift and then make the most of being off over the two boxing days. Stu has a couple of days off this week as he is working Christmas Eve and Tuesday after Christmas. We expected him to be working right through but the company he works for seems really fair in giving those time off who will work Christmas eve.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Festive Pulled Chicken Loaded Fries (Gousto).
Tuesday - Chicken & Stuffing Sarnie With Plum Chutney. (Gousto)
Wednesday - Creamy Mushroom Pie With Balsamic Roasted Sprouts And Mash. (Gousto)
Thursday - A fry up. Sausages, bacon, eggs, black pudding, beans, tomatoes, hash browns and toast.
Friday - A meal out.
Saturday - Takeaway. I think we might get an Indian takeaway. The kids love the idea of them since we had one for my birthday.
Sunday - Christmas dinner and leftovers.

What are you eating this week? Whatever it is I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

  2. Those Gousto meals sounds delicious! I should definitely try their service sometime. I usually go for HelloFresh, which is also good.
