Thunderbolt and lightning very, very frightening!

After the hottest day on Friday we had the most amazing storm on Friday evening. I am not a fan of storms but was enjoying this one. I was hoping it would bring some cooler weather (it didn't). We were enjoying seeing the lightening, Ellie went for a run around the garden in the rain until a loud clap of thunder scared her and she ran in and then the electricity went off. It was only for about 30 seconds but was enough to scare me. Eek!

  2. I am so jealous! What i would give to get a photograph of lightening. I just find it impossible. Must have been an awesome storm though.

  3. Great lightening photos, I don't think I've ever managed to capture one. We didn't have a storm, which was a shame because I was looking forward to it. WE did have a power cut though. It lasted about 2 hours! We had to go and get a take out as our oven is electric! (Any excuse not to cook, lol) It was back on before it got dark though, I hate having to rely on candles. x

  4. Love the lightning photos - I don't go out to try and photograph storms here in Florida. Too much rain and thunder doesn't frighten me but makes me uncomfortable. I like to be snug in the house during a storm.

  7. I agree, it's scary. It's scary when you can't change anything ...

  8. What an amazing photo! We were supposed to be having a big stormy day yesterday but we had nothing in comparison to what they had forecast!

  10. I do love a good summer rain when it helps cools things off but I am not a huge fan of big loud storms. You got some great shots though; lightening is so hard to photograph.

  13. We didn't have much of a storm here, at all. My kids and cats hate them though so I guess I am glad we missed them this time round. #mysundayphoto sorry it's a bit late from last week
