Our weekly meal plan! 17th - 23rd May. #MealPlanningMonday

Our Weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went well. We had scampi, chips and peas which wasn't planned on Friday and moved the Pizza to Saturday. We tried the Hula Hoops BBQ beef flavour potato shapes from Iceland. They were OK, the kids liked them. They did taste like the crisps but I wasn't keen on them. I won't be rushing to buy them again.

We don't have much on this week. Today more restrictions are being eased and they don't mean much for us apart from the fact I will be able to go into my dad's house and Becky's girlfriend can come into our house. Bless them, on Friday they were sat outside in the cold just so they could spend time together. It will be nice for them to see each other without having to worry about being too cold and getting soaked in the rain.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - A roast chicken dinner.
Wednesday - Sausages, chips and baked beans.
Friday - Chicken fajitas.
Saturday - Takeaway Pizza.
Sunday - Leftover pizza for lunch and then sandwiches, cakes and snacks for tea.

What are you eating this week?

  1. What a great idea to make a vegetable crumble! I'm definitely going to try that. I always put nuts in my crumble topping so that would add some extra protein too. Thank you for the inspiration - have a great week!

  2. We got take out pizza this past weekend and I have decided that I need to ease up on my "no dining out/ take out" rule! In all honesty we've eaten out/ gotten take out more this past year during lockdown than ever and while I was trying like crazy to get us back to only eating out once every few months I really do enjoy having just one meal each week that I don't have to cook.

  3. I'm not quite sure what a vegetable crumble is but it sounds interesting. #MMBC

  4. Aha I do like the idea of a midweek roast, haven't done one of those for a while. The bubble and squeak sounds like a great idea, and something the kids should like. Chicken fajitas always go down well and I'm always amazed by how many veggies the kids throw in them with no complaints ! Sorry to hear the Hula Hoops potatoes weren't so great - they had potential (maybe !)

  5. I was interested to find out what the Hula Hoop potato shapes were like. Still quite tempted to buy them and try them out! Love bubble and squeak after a roast dinner. Sausage, chips and baked beans always goes down well here - might make a switch from sausage and mash this week and go for that instead! #MMBC

  6. We are having pizza as well on Saturday. We are having family around in the garden to celebrate my husband's birthday and that was his choice.

  7. Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the potato hula hoops. I don't think I will bother buying them now.

  8. They have some right random items in Iceland don't they! I often find that they're a little on the average side too sadly!
