Our weekly meal plan! 14th - 20th March. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went so, so well. I had a Gousto box delivered, it was our first time trying the recipe boxes from Gousto and we were so impressed. We ate all of the meals and loved every single one. They were fun, simple to make and I actually learned a few different techniques which I will be using in my cooking in future. I will also be keeping the recipe cards and remaking those meals too.

On Wednesday we had a Chinese takeaway, it was a bit of a celebration after being at the hospital for Ellie's check on her heart. You can read all about it in my Word of the Week blog post where my word was reliefThe only day which didn't go to plan was on Friday, Stu and I went out for lunch and we had an all day breakfast which filled us up so we had the Bacon & Leek Tart on the Saturday instead.

After eating so well last week this week feels a bit of let down and boring. We're back to eating normally although I have said we will be trying to get a Gousto box about once a month. I was tempted to buy another this week but we needed to get a shopping delivery with cleaning stuff, washing powder, loo rolls and stuff for packed lunches.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Spaghetti Bolognese and garlic bread.
Tuesday - Leftover Bolognese in wraps.
WednesdayCreamy pork and apple casserole with mashed potatoes.
Thursday - Tomato soup and sausage rolls to dip in.
Friday - Scampi, chips and peas.
Saturday - Home made pizza.
Sunday - A roast dinner of some sort.

I am linking up with Karen over at Cat's, Kids, Chaos who is the host of the meal planning linky. If you blog about your meal plan do come and link up!

  1. Since I am retired and live alone (wih my cat, lol) I buy my meals for 2 or 3 weeks in a specialized French shop who has his own farmers and the ready made plates are directly shock frozen and are really delicious. They have plates from all countries, so I have the choice !! For one person it's worthwhile twwo it becomes a bit expensive !

  4. Glad to hear the meals went well - they did sound lovely. Tomato soup with sausage rolls to dip in sounds fantastic and something I'd never have thought of :)

  5. I have always wanted to try Gusto but food allergies are always challenging with those meal boxes. I will have to have a look. Thanks for linking up to #mealplanmonday. We are back again.
