Top 5 TV Series...

I saw this trending on Twitter and it got me thinking.....What are my top 5 TV Series to watch....

At the moment I could easily say Breaking Bad as one but it's just a passing fad....Once I've watched it I doubt I would go back and watch it again and again....

I love the soaps but they're not exactly TV series....Plus sometimes when they're a bit boring I just watch them out of habit....

In no particular order....

1. Friends...

I can watch Friends over and over again....I have...lol I have the DVD box set but I have never watched a single dvd....lol as it's on TV enough.....They must show at least 20 episodes a week on the Comedy Central channel on Sky....I always seem to end up watching it on a Sunday afternoon....

 2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer...

Every day until a few months ago the SyFy channel played the whole show....The whole 7 series of it again and again at lunchtime and I watched it again and again while eating my dinner.....and yes everytime I cried when she died, when Angel got sent to hell and her mam died....The still show it now at about 5pm but I don't catch it often as that's around the time I'm making tea!

3. Gavin and Stacey...

Another show I can and do watch over and over again......I hate James Corden but love the character of Smithy!! Uncle Bryn is a legend as is Nessa.....And what did happen on that fishing trip?

4. Lost...

So confusing but a great show which had me hooked from the first episode....Even when I put the lottery on I still use those stupid numbers - 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42.....lol I loved John Locke....He was such a nutcase and Sawyer - phwoar!!

5. The Royal Family...

The Royle family is a firm favourite of mine.....My favourite thing about the Royle family is the quotes that keep appearing, Barbs constant interest in what Dave had for his tea and Antony having to do absolutely everything, going to the off licence, getting the cigarettes, making the tea, making the bacon sandwiches and the rest of them doing nothing, Cheryl’s diet and Nana’s dead friends. It’s brilliant. Its worth watching for Jim Royle alone....They could of based him on my dad....lol

What are your top 5 TV series?

  1. It's funny you mention Gavin and Stacey, as we flicked over and watched one of these the other evening, and I said to my husband that I forget it existed, yet we loved it - we own it on DVD, too! A brilliant show that makes me laugh every time. And you cannot go wrong with Friends, can you? x

  2. I'm about to give Breaking Bad a try (very late to the party I know!) and it's interesting that you say you wouldn't watch it again. Is it usually the funny programmes that we can watch over and over again I wonder? Because I still repeats of things like Fawlty Towers and Father Ted....

    1. I think the only reason I wouldn't watch it again is the whole thing about it is..It gets you hooked not knowing what's going to happen next....How Walt is going to get himself out of the situations her gets himself in....It wouldn't be the same watching it again....lol
It is a brilliant show.....We were late to the party too....lol We only started watching it about a month ago and we're halfway through the last series....

  3. Loved all the shows you listed other than Breaking Bad - which I just couldn't get away with at all. Have to say though Buffy is the only one I re-watch (anything by Joss Whedon really). I watched it originally at one of those times in life when things seemed to be "just right" and so it's linked to a lot of good memories.

  4. I loved all the shows you listed - other than Breaking Bad which I couldn't get away with. I think it has something to do with Walt being the dad from Malcom in the Middle - just threw me. Buffy is the firm favourite though - I basically have it on repeat.

  5. I loved all of the ones you listed apart from Buffy, I never really watched it. I used to love Charmed, but now my favourites have to be Prison Break, Sons of Anarchy, Hannibal and Hart of Dixie x
