Science 4 You 3D Wooden Puzzle - Skeleton - Review!!

As you can see from the badge over there on the right I am a Science 4 You blogger.....They have sent my girls and I some lovely products to try.....

This time we were reviewing the:

3D Wooden Puzzle - Skeleton....

As is says on the box this is a wooden 3D puzzle.... Consisting of 50 pieces. Included is a 24-page book with instructions and lots of interesting information...

All the parts are on wooden boards and it is just a case of popping them out to put the model together.....Becky managed all of them by herself apart from the spine which was a bit tough and fiddly to get out but she managed....

We opened the booklet to look for some instructions to get us started and there wasn't any as such....It said to look at the pictures to get the general idea....Which was fair enough as it is a puzzle but it was really hard to figure out.....I could of done with having a picture of the skeleton side on to have more of an idea where things went.....

With the pieces on the head, they were especially difficult to work out the right order. They could of done with having numbers on the wooden pieces as well as in the book....I'm still not 100% sure the pieces for the head are in the right place but it looks ok.....

After we'd had the head on upside down and the wrong way around we finally started making some progress......

Becky managed well it was only when it came to putting the legs on she struggled.....The half skeleton wouldn't stand on the stand by it's self and if she put the legs on laying down they dropped off when you picked them up. One pair of hands was not enough for this puzzle!

We got the Skeleton built!....Didn't we do well?

The age guide for this is 6+ but I would say a child that age would not be able to manage it alone....Becky is 12 and her and I had to work together to complete this.....I don't think she would have managed by herself in fact I think she would have given up after popping the pieces out of the board....

Even after all of that Becky and I did have a good giggle trying to figure out this puzzle and it was fantastic to do something like this together....We are very pleased with the end result and we're going to glue it to make it more secure and maybe a coat of varnish will make it something extra, extra special. If you like a challenge this is ideal....This is a great puzzle....

This puzzle costs £6.99 which I think is very a very reasonable price......You can buy them via the Science 4 You website or their Amazon Shop.....

I was sent this 3D Wooden Puzzle free of charge to try....
This is my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own...

  3. Does sound tricky but fun. I can remember as a child, my gran having 2 wooden puzzles that I used to spend hours on - a ball and a barrel #TriedTested

  4. Crikey that's cheap for a puzzle. Looks fun if a little difficult.
