Our Weekly Meal Plan!! - #mealplanningmonday


Last week I got a slow cooker for my birthday which made me so happy and has made me so excited about food and cooking again....I have been searching and finding a lot of new recipes to try and on Saturday night we had our first meal from it. Sausage and baked bean casserole. It was so good. I have a blog post about it later this week.


Last weeks meal plan mostly went to plan....I had a Christmas dinner for lunch on my birthday from Wetherspoons and it was such a big portion that I couldn't eat it all and I was was sent some pizza and wine to try from Nisa which was a lovely treat....

On Saturday night I stayed up and booked my Christmas Tesco delivery slot! I got the 23rd of December which was the day I wanted then if anything is not delivered I can nip out on Christmas eve for it! Hooray!

This week on the menu we have:

Monday - Pork & apple casserole with mashed potatoes....
Tuesday - Chicken stir fry....
Wednesday - Gammon, chips and a fried egg....
Thursday - Fish finger sandwiches....
Friday - Something while we're out seeing the Christmas lights being switched on....
Saturday - Pineapple chicken & rice....
Sunday - Pie & mash....

    I don't have a slow cooker but I can imagine that this time of year it's a wonderful way to make warm soups and stews. Sausage and baked bean casserole sounds delicious :o)

    I woke myself up to get my Tesco slot! Slow cookers are fab - I think that's the same as mine - which is great as you can brown it first on the hob if you want x

    We love Weatherspoon for a family meal. Really good value. Hope you had a lovely Birthday Kim. I love my slow cooker in Winter, I get so much use out of it :) #MMBC

    I love my slow cooker especially at this time of the year, the smell makes me extra hungry. The pork and apple casserole sounds lovely. X
