101 Video Games to Play Before You Grow Up - Book review!

My girls love video games so when I was offered the chance to review a copy of 101 Video Games to Play Before You Grow Up I couldn't say no....

Brought to you by Quarto Kids 101 Video Games to Play Before You Grow Up is the unofficial guide for the best video games every gamer needs to try!

I didn't think I was a big gamer but there is so many games I have played over the years mentioned in this book....It was a great trip down memory lane!

Each page in this interactive handbook offers behind the scenes tidbits and trivia about the games that belong on your bucket list along with parental rating guidelines, series background information and story line previews.

It is bright, colourful and is easy to read. Most of the games only cover one page so it is easy to dip in and out of....

All different types of video games are featured, including adventure, puzzle, platform, racing and role-playing games. It is totally child friendly and there is no games like Call of Duty or Grand Theft Auto mentioned....Phew!

This guide book features games for just about every console from 1985 to today which was good to see....I expected it just to show games from the likes of the xBox and Playstation but old consoles get quite a mention too...

My girls love this book and are taking turns in reading it....They have discovered games which they have never played before and really want to. I can see us working our way through all of the games....

This would make a fantastic gift. It is recommend for 8 to 12 year old's but my teen is 15 and she loves it....My fella has had a quick look and was taken with it too...It gave the girls and their dad plenty to talk about.....

101 Video Games to Play Before You Grow Up has a recommended retail price of £8.99 but at the moment is on Amazon for £5.20.

We were sent this book free of charge in exchange for our review...All thoughts and opinions are our own.

  2. Half of me likes the sound of this and the other half knows that my kids spend too much time on screen already

  3. This looks really good. As a non gaming person I have no idea what my daughter could be playing (although she's not particularly interested in screens, she much prefers books!).
