We're getting back into more of a routine today. If the kids had have been at school & college they would have been going back today after the Easter holidays so we'll be up early, they'll be cracking on with their school and college work and we will have more structure to our day. Well that's the plan anyway.
Last weeks meal plan went well. I couple of meals were changed. I forgot to get the pork & apple sausages from the butchers so we just had pork one's out of the freezer and the calzone pizza had no chicken in it as we didn't have any. lol
I am looking forward to the 2nd half of this week as we are getting a shopping delivery on Wednesday. As Tesco is only allowing you to buy a maximum of 80 things I have had to be really picky. I am hoping what I've got will last is a couple of weeks at least. I have planned ahead and bought plenty of things for the freezer.
This week on the menu we have:
Monday - Spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread. I have a few tubs of bolognese in the freezer.
Tuesday - Pie and mash.
Wednesday - Hot dogs in buns.
Thursday - Chicken fajitas.
Friday - Pizza.
Saturday - Pork stir fry.
Sunday - A roast chicken dinner.
What are you eating this week?
All sounds lovely. We haven't had fajitas for a while as I haven't been able to get hold of the tortilla wraps. Ah well, we'll just enjoy them even more the next time they end up on the menu plan ! Hope the shopping arrives just as you ordered it, with very few changes. xx
ReplyDeleteSounds like a yummy meal plan!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the 80 items rules, I'm trying to get round it by buying pre-packed banana's as it only counts as 1 item :D
Have a lovely week!
Sounds really good. Its so hard getting shopping at the moment so you have to really plan. Hope you get everything you ordered
ReplyDeleteSounds like a tasty week ahead Kim. Love spaghetti and garlic bread :)
ReplyDeleteSo far this week we're planning on pork tenderloins with rice, a pasta bake, grilled chicken with macaroni salad, Chicken parm with spaghetti & cake (for my son's birthday), waffles with bacon, and chicken pot pie.
ReplyDelete80 items is a nightmare when you need to stretch it over several weeks. Even for only 3 people I struggled with that - things like milk I usually buy in single pints so they don't stay open for long when we don't use it quickly enough, but with a limit on item, I end up going for bigger cartons which we then can't get through. Hopefully they'll start to relax it soon. It'll mean you can shop for a longer time rather than only a week's worth.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're going to be eating well! The 80 items is hard going when you're trying to actively reduce the number of deliveries you get isn't it! Hope you're keeping well x
ReplyDeleteOh the 80 items is not fun is it I have to really think about every purchase maybe its good for us in some way!!! your meals sound lovely and wanting hot dogs now x
ReplyDeleteThese sound like all my kind of meals x
