Hello and happy Saturday. I keep having to remind myself what day it is, they're all blending into one and I am totally lost with the time since the clocks changed. I keep sitting here at about 6pm and then panicking that I should have started cooking tea an hour ago. Oops.
I hope you are all keeping well? We're all good here. We're keeping busy and the past week was a pretty calm one. We've watched a lot of films and have spent time out in the garden.
Now for a photo every day!
95/366 - 4th April
It's my dad's partners birthday next week and I was looking for a funny card and I think I found the perfect one. It really made me chuckle. I wasn't laughing so much when poor Boris got took into intensive care. I'm glad he's on the mend now so I don't have to feel guilty about giving it to her. I did get her a sensible one too with Freddie Mercury on. lol
96/366 - 5th April
Swingball again!
97/366 - 6th April
Another game for the garden. Hopscotch. It was sent by mistake by an ebay seller. It was supposed to be noughts and crosses. I did tell the seller I would return it but not until the lock down is lifted as our post office is only open a couple of afternoons a week and are only for essential things like the elderly collecting their pension, paying bills and topping up electric meters. The seller kindly told me not to bother and then sent the noughts and crosses out anyway and wouldn't accept my payment for it. He said I should just take it as a Random act of Kindness. What a lovely fella.
98/366 - 7th April
Ellie has finally got the hang of making daisy chains. She has just about cleared our garden of them.
99/366 - 8th April
Ellie the star baker made cheese straws and with the leftover egg whites she made meringues. I have never made meringues as I thought they were too much of a faff but she did them perfectly. They went down well with some ice cream.
100/366 - 9th April
I had been dying my hair (again) earlier in the week and Becky wanted to add some pink to the ends of her hair. It wasn't going to do any harm. It's not like she'll be going to college any time soon. It looks so pretty.
101/366 - 10th April
We finally dug up the flowerbed. A couple of hours before I took this photo it was full of weeds and stupid decorative stones. They were moved to the other side of the garden. 4 wheelbarrows full!! We added some compost and replanted some of the bulbs I dug up and I found a box of wild flower seed which I put down. It really feels like the garden is the way I want it now!
I'm so glad the weather is good - it would be a nightmare if you couldn't get out in the garden ! Lovely of the ebay seller to say you could keep the puzzle :)
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been lovely, even on the one day over the past week it wasn't too great the girls still played out. x
DeleteHow nice of the ebay seller to let you keep the hopscotch! That is a funny birthday card. It was definitely a shock Boris Johnson going into intensive care. Becky's hair looks very nice. I've been surprised that my daughter hasn't asked to do hers.
ReplyDeleteI know! I was really shocked about the ebay seller.
DeleteAhh! There's still time for your daughter to ask. hehehe x
It is Isaac's birthday in 10 days and that card is fab, where did you get it from? Sounds like you have had a busy week
ReplyDeleteI got it from Ebay and it only took about 3 days to arrive. I just searched for Birthday Lockdown. lol x
DeleteThat's a nice ebay seller. So nice that everyone can get out in the garden isn't it. Becky's dye looks good. Did she bleach it first, or just dye straight on?
ReplyDeleteGood news about the garden game. It must feel good to be achieving things in the garden.
ReplyDeleteHa! We have some similar cards going around here too in the U.S.
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely random act of kindness, the garden is looking lovely. i too have no idea of the time, just eat when i think about it
ReplyDeleteThat is such a lovely Random Act of Kindness. That is good news about the garden game. It looks great. xx
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to keep track of the days and the time at the moment, isn't it? Love that card you got for your dad's partner. How lovely that the ebay seller let you keep the hopscotch as well. Well done to Ellie on the baking and the garden is looking lovely. #project366
ReplyDeleteOh the wild flower seed will look so beautiful once it sprouts sounds like time well spent. I am seriously thinking about getting swing ball now! Sounds like you may have a junior master chef on your hands. I have loved the Easter break really not looking forward to going back to juggling again. I have always wanted pink hair - I may do mine too! Afterall I am not seeing any clients at the moment. Fab idea x
ReplyDeleteHopefully we will have more good weather during the lockdown to keep it bearable. I have been doing lots of cooking and baking: we are eating so well. Meringues and cheese straws are on my list when we can get the ingredients... #project366
ReplyDeleteThe weather being good is so helpful isn't it, if this was mid winter and we were literally stuck indoors it would be harder. Love that card. Sorry for delayed comment. The week caught up with me!
ReplyDeleteYeah, there's no difference between weekdays and weekends now. Very funny card and am glad Boris is alright. OoOooOO Swingball and hopscotch!! I love meringue! Becky's hair does look great.
ReplyDeleteWe have a swing ball but I can't find the racquets ....so it is a bit useless!
ReplyDeleteLove the colour at the end of her hair and that was nice of the ebay seller.
