Last weeks meal plan was a bit hit and miss. We skipped the Salmon, Broccoli & Pea Risotto and had burgers and fries instead. My dad had been sorting out one of his bit freezers and saw they needed using up so dropped them round for us and on Friday we had sausage sandwiches. I think I had got to the end of the week and home schooling and just wanted to do very little.
Over the weekend we had another takeaway. I keep we're not going to have them but when I was ordering the weekly food shop and couldn't decide what we wanted to eat on Saturday evening so decided to get something from the chip shop. It didn't cost that much. I'd like to say it's the last takeaway for a while but it's Mother's day on Sunday and I have to get my yearly Indian takeaway. The rest of my family aren't keen so I only ever get on on Mother's day. hehehe
Good luck to everyone who has kids returning to school today. At the moment it is just my youngest Ellie back, Becky goes back to college in a couple of weeks. I am hoping we will have more of a normal routine to our lives after today.
On the menu this week we have:
Monday - Chicken Chimichangas.
Tuesday - Pork and apple sausages and potato wedges.
Wednesday - Broccoli Mac & Cheese.
Thursday - Corned beef crispbakes, chips and baked beans.
Friday - Pizza.
Saturday - Lasagne and garlic bread.
Sunday - I'm having an Indian takeaway. Chicken malayan curry, rice, naan bread, poppadum's and plenty of dips.
What are you eating this week?
I always forget that you celebrate Mother's Day so much earlier in England... we have 2 more months before we celebrate here in the states. Happy early Mother's day!!
